Kellie was a little bit concerned. She knew that Ann was a bit hard to deal with. While not cruel, she certainly focused more on tasks than people and tended to be rather rigid and strict in regards to rules. That naturally brought her into clash with Lisa. The two hadn't really gotten along in their original childhood. But reducing Ann to a 12 year old and keeping Katie out of the loop seemed a bit too far.
Kellie was also a bit concerned about Lisa using the ring. She remembered teenaged Lisa to be rather reckless, rebellious, and headstrong. And while Kumiko wasn't a bad influence, her free-spirited nature didn't really do anything to hold Lisa back. And Kellie was well-aware how power can corrupt. She had been exiled from this reality because of her abuse of her Ring of Age. She didn't want Lisa to make the same mistake she did.
However, there wasn't any tangible concern that Lisa would be a danger with the ring yet. But if things got out of hand, Lisa had her own Ring of Age, which she had mastered, to stop it before it got too far. For right now, Kellie was just going to wait and watch, trying to seem indifferent to the changes that have been happening.
After dinner was finished, Lisa said, "Hey, Katie. Me and Kumiko are going out for a while."
"Haven't you two been hanging out all day?" asked Katie.
"We've got some evening stuff planned," said Kumiko, "We're going to a movie."
Katie frowned a bit and asked, "You two aren't planning to go to a nightclub, are you?"
"No. What makes you think we would?" asked Lisa.
"Just a small hunch," said Katie, "I don't have a problem with you going out, but could you leave the ring here, please?"
"Kate, we're not going to a nightclub. We're not even going to an R-rated movie," said Kumiko.
"Then it wouldn't matter if you left the ring here," said Katie, calmly but firmly.
"Kate, I'm your twin sister. Don't you trust me?" asked Lisa.
"It's not about trust. It's about responsibility," said Katie. Kellie watched with interest. This would be a pivotal moment for Lisa's behavior. Hopefully, Lisa will be responsible and hand over the ring. If not, Kellie may need to step in.
