Outside a modest family restaurant, in the outskirts of the parking lot sat a young lady, using a stone as a makeshift chair as she typed away on her phone. Though she worked at the restaurant, she needed a bit of a break every now and then, as the amount of customers got a bit overwhelming for her sometimes - she wasn’t the most extroverted person ever. In fact, she was pretty bashful.
As a gust of wind passed by, her light auburn hair was shaken up a bit, though she brushed it back into place - said hair was only barely reaching her shoulders, with her bangs kept in place by a hair clip. Leaning forward a little, she took a moment to adjust the knee-length, light blue dress she was wearing, which really didn’t keep out the cold… Though she needed to cool down, anyway.
“So, wanna hang out tomorrow? There’s a cool-looking movie coming out, and we should totally watch it!” Her friend sent into their small group chat, but looking at the list of people online… Herself, Sonja, and her friend… Just the two of them. After thinking for a couple of seconds, she shrugged to herself, getting ready to type a response… Only to hear rustling in the bushes behind her. At first, she imagined it just being the wind, and finished typing a simple “Yeah!”
The rustling didn’t stop though, and her curiosity got the better of her before too long. Jumping off of the stone, she turned around to check on the bushes, crossing her arms in the process. Oddly enough, there wasn’t enough wind at the moment to make such a ruckus, and…
“Eek!” She suddenly shrieked, stumbling back as...something jumped out at her, accidentally kicking off one of her shoes in the process before falling onto her butt on the asfalt. Instinctively, she grabbed the arms of...whatever was attacking her, and with a car driving by, illuminating the scene, she got a glimpse of what was attacking her...
