Despite being melted into molten glass Jeff managed to stay intact as one single being. His mind left in a stagnant pool of liquid glass that fortunately left him not a blubbering mess of an idiot. More glass fell into the molten glass vat, some shard and some of them full on whisky bottles.
They splashed near him, into him even, before quickly melting to join his extended form. It was hot and uncomfortable as the glass pieces made small puddles within his stagnant pool, adding what was not him into himself.
Then, a pile of shattered glass rained down into him, immediately melting and melding with him. This pile however had something.
A scream of terror escaped Jeff's mind as another mind , shattered and tattered melded with him, its own mind grasping at him, searching completeness. His stagnant pool, a representation of his whole mind began to widen as the newcomer filled up his space, his mind stretching and absorbing the invader.
Memories not his own began to flash in his thoughts, the memories of a cocky jock he knew very well. His own school tormentor , Trent Hughins.
It melded too much, and he knew that the voice that was screaming was now a cacophony of his and Trent. A sudden feeling of electricity surged through him and the massive pool of molten glass rippled.
Jeff heard the Chronivac chime [Restoration In Progress] and was relieved. [FOREIGN MASS "USER 《TRENT》" DETECTED. COMPATIBILITY ADEQUATE. INITIATING RESTORATION.]
Jeff immediately panicked. And Trent within Jeff amplified that more. They couldn't be stuck like this!
The pool of molten glass rippled again, however this time a massive 'arm' unrecognizable and molten began to rise. It slapped onto the lip of the vat, desperately trying to pull itself up. More glass and bottles fell on him, putting more weight onto his efforts. Slowly but surely the pool began to recede, the entire pool coalescing to form a humanoid shape partially still a pool beneath its waistline. Its faceless visage moaning in confusion.
It managed to pull itself up onto the lip of the vat, its molten chest flowing up and over the lip. The entire pool still connected to its body followed suit, unmelted glass bottles and shards flowing like ornaments on silk.
The massive molten behemoth fell to the floor with a splat as molten glass spread over the floor and igniting flammable materials and insects unfortunate enough to escape the lava tsunami. As the entire pool calmed down, it began to recede back into a humanoid form yet again.
Jeff/Trent struggled with their new form, imaginary muscles trying to pull them together. The chronivac chimed as its first phase " Collection" was completed.
Another chime, and Jeff/Trent felt their body tighten. The glass cooled down and shrunk at a rapid pace, forming a glass statue of a human adonis, transparent and fragile. The still soft glass shifted about as if to determine which human profile to restore. After some time, a balanced mix was found.
Glass began to shift into flesh, new and improved muscle and bones materialized from the glass and took its place. Skin flowed like water to cover the newly reborn human.
6'5 muscular hunk of a man with perfect sculpted muscles opened his eyes, a hued mix of Jeff's brown and Trent's emerald green. The new being took in his first breath, alive once more. Mixed memories of being the prey yet the predator confused this new being, but then he shook his head.
Trent was too shattered to take control, but he instead had fully merged with Jeff and changed him fundamentally.
"I'm Jeff." He said. But he isn't so sure about that anymore. Looking to his new and big powerful body made him think, should he do something about this?
