Your emotions get to you.
"Shit..." You say as you reach out of the pool and pull the mermaid into the water. You both fall under the water and she takes a deep breath with her gills, feeling intense relief. She then looks into your eyes and jets up to the surface. You follow her and both pop up over the water. She immediately slaps you in the face.
"Ow! What was that for?!" You exclaim.
"For what you did! Do you know how long I've been here without legs? Alone? Almost thirty years!" She says, furious. She waddles away, crossing her arms, very angry. A clam-bra appears on your chest as well as hers.
You sigh.
"Now you know how I feel...being trapped here forever. There probably isn't a way out of here, is there?" You ask.
The Mermaid ignores you, still angry.
"We can either sit here for centuries angry with each other, or deal with our situation." You say.
She turns to you.
"How daft can you be? All I have is anger...I' all alone." She says, looking down.
You swim over to her. "Not anymore...I'm just like you now."
"Yes!" She says. "And now we're going to be stuck here forever until two men, or two women, or a man and a woman, or any two people come and relieve us of this curse!" She screams, angry.
You take her hand. "Yes, but you have something you didn't have before..." You say. "You have me."
She sighs. "There might be a way out of here...I've been too scared to check..." She says.
"Why?" You ask.
"Because, if we leave, we will be mermaids for the rest of our leaves...that is...if there is a way out of here." She says. "What do you think we should do?" She asks.
