( So I'm going to assume the previous two chapters were
a story within a story
and that Damon,Alexander and gang are
citizens of the Cloud Plane where Issac,Ilvir,Marry and Nat are trotting about.
The Corrupted Paladin story universe
That means Damon etc all is of less dense material and thus
would have issues if he came to a non-cloud realm
So Damons Kingdom is one nearby to the
Kingdom of the Seven Sky Hills ( aka the
Roman Empire) and I'm going to imagine the
"Damon Kingdom" is modelled after the
Eleanor of Aquitaine of about
1150AD
So Damons dad = King Henry II
Prince John Lackland =Prince Alexander
Richard the Lioheart = Prince Brendn
and Prince Damon = Robin Hoode ) of Sherwood Forest fame )
and Damon's mother = Eleanor of Aquitaine,patroness of the first
feminist courtly love ballads
So everyone in Damon Kingdom is awake a madman
reigns in the Sky King Kingdom
and that a Corrupted Paladin's body was found on the outstretched
rms of a statue
of the Goddess Veritas ( the Roman Goddess of Truth))
"Cut" yelled the Lady Monica through her
megaphone
at the crew and cast of the
magic moving painting
picture she was directing.
Down on the special f/x scenery the handsome stand-in for Prince Damon
supposedly murdered with a dagger,bent up
the wooden board with the prop dagger glued to it
hanging from his costume and all the other actors
and some of the real Royalty,such as
King Abulon and his sons
Alexander and Brendon breathed a sigh of relief.
It was hot under
the blazing bonfire lights that were needed
to illuminate
the set.
Even with these
more advanced
magical moving painting camera's it still took a lot of light
for the 1000 miniature demon artists to paint
the magical moving paintings
at 10 paintings per second.
Nearby the actors
Fen'Hiren.Blackfire and two extra dragons relaxed and when the real\
Prince Damon hobbled into the set on crutches
( having broken a leg weeks earlier)
the 4 dragon actors
found it unlikely
this crippled human actually was
the "Prince Damon" of Lady Monica's blockbuster
movie production could
be based
on the murder of this
more slightly built figure.
So the four dragon actors snarled and tried to chase
away this intruder with the
crutch and the broken leg.
It was only when handsome and dashing looking
lead actor
Robert Bolde interfered and told the 4 menacing dragons
that this fellow with the crutch was the real
Prince Damon,that the
4 reptilian flamebreathing actors
halted.
They glanced back and forth between
Robert Bolde,the actor playing
the "Prince Damon of the movie
and the real much more slighter and less
dashing looking real
Prince Damon
and left the set snorting with laughter
and commenting to each
another on the weirdness of hu mans.
Meanwhile Prince Alexaander,playing himself in the movie,
went to Lady Monica to ask for some
changes in the script,namely
the reason for the fictional murder
as well as the means it was carried out.
Alexander pointed out that under the 500 century
old Royal Rules
of "Damons Kingdom" Alexander,being the firstborn,got
first crack at being the next
King.Hence in real life he had no reason to murder
his brother,and instead Damon was more likely
in the fictional movie anyways,to hire
a assassin to murder Alexander.
Alexander also pointed out to the director
that it was unlikely his fictional self
would be directly handing
abag of money and a murder wepon directly to
the assassin.
Damon and the King Abulon took a interest
in this conversation and Damon,balancing himself
on that crutch,told Lady Monica
that if he were to plot such a assassination,he'd probably put about 2 or three people between himself and the assassin
get a assassin from outside the "Damons Kingdom"
and try to pin his
(finctional ) brother Brendan
with the murder of ( fictional) Alexander.
Lady Monica,the director scriptwriter
of the movie
eagerly took notes as the
four Royals dicussed how to
(fictionally)
kill each another off.
Then the conversation turned to the latest antics
of the Sky King ,Cluligula.
who was putting a wyvern on trial
for the alleged murder
of a Corrupted Paladin.
