An hour later, consciousness gently prodded Rachel awake. She groaned and stretched the sleep from her joints. When she looked around her room to find that nothing had changed, she sighed and grabbed the Feel Relax can.
"Assholes probably just put chloroform in the can," she said. After a moment, she tossed the can into the trash and flopped back on her bed. Then a knock on her door made her look up.
"Morning Rachel," her mother said.
"Morning, Mom," Rachel replied.
"Rachel," her mother started, "I just got a call that your uncle just passed away."
"Who?" Rachel inquired.
"Jack," her mother replied. Rachel knew very little about Uncle Jack. The only thing she did know was that he was very rich, as in worth several hundred million dollars, and that he was a tad eccentric. Wait, she didn't have an eccentric millionaire uncle named Jack. Then her eyes widened in realization.
she thought,
"The lawyer said that Jack's will is going to be read in a few days," her mother continued, oblivious to Rachel's reaction. After being informed of her now existing, yet dead, eccentric millionaire uncle, Rachel's mother left to have breakfast. Meanwhile, Rachel was over the moon ecstatic that this was real. Then she texted her best friend and boyfriend that she was going to be a millionaire. Neither of them believed her. A few days later...
"Alright, is everyone here?" the lawyer asked. Rachel, her mother, aunts, uncles, and cousins all said 'Yes.' The next hour went as Rachel expected; she and her five cousins each receiving $40million. The remaining millions were split amongst her mother, aunts, uncles, and a few charities of Jack's choosing. Once she and her mother got home, Rachel went to her room to think of what she wanted to do first.
