He thought about it for a moment, this little quirk made it challenging but it was certainly doable. Whatever he did, he needed to make sure Sarah was the second person Kyle saw. There was no need to overthink it, he could just go up to him and point towards Sarah which would make him fall in love with her immediately. She currently sat slouched on a bench, like a sad sack of potatoes, waiting for a miracle to happen. Steve still needed to validate his purchase and what better way than helping a close friend.
The Cupid Gun was concealed in one of his pockets when he walked towards Kyle. Not that it mattered, he was too absorbed in his self-image to notice. He had put aside his barbell to perform a set of push-ups, each time kissing his other bicep except for when he paused to give a wink and a smooch to his reflection. Steve cracked a smile when he first saw him do it, but he had to hold back his laughter. The conversation needed to be straight to the point or it could go horribly wrong ... again.
Sliding the laser toy out of his pockets he pointed it towards Kyle and pulled the trigger. A beam of pink light hit Kyle and just like before it seemed like nothing had happened. As he arrived next to him, Kyle didn't even acknowledge his presence. "Hey Kyle, can I talk to you about something?" Steve asked, Kyle seemed annoyed and didn't want to take his eyes away from his reflected pupils. "Does it seem like I have time for silly things? I'm taking good care of myself, you have to love your body before it can love you back. So no, not at the moment."
This seemed more difficult than he had first thought, he said "But" before immediately being cut off by Kyle. "No buts here, the only butt I wanna see here is my own." It took Steve a few seconds to process what he had said when Kyle cleared his throat and clarified "Uhm ... with that I mean my trained glutes because I ... I care about my body!" Steve was worried, he had to help his friend out of this mess. Although Kyle himself still didn't seem to mind as he was rubbing his pecs from time to time and preforming some sexy poses in front of the mirror. He had to act quick before this situation got out of hand.
Steve blurted out "So you don't want a couple of brand spanking new mirrors? Guess she'll have to throw them away." For a moment there was complete silence before Kyle disengaged from his reflection and said "I'm interested." While he finally had the man's attention he brought up Sarah. "Yeah they were Sarah's, she sitting over there. You should ask her about it." Steve himself had made eye-contact with Sarah in hopes that Kyle's eyes would follow. That didn't seem the case, he was very attentive though nodding to nearly every word Steve had said. "Do you want them?" asked Steve.
"Now that you mention it, I think one mirror is already more than enough for my dorm." This was strange, maybe the beam had negated any of the previous effects. Steve was a bit confused about the situation but it could be yet another reason why the gun was in the bargain bin. He still wanted to divert Kyle's attention to Sarah though. "So what do you want? I'm sure Sarah can hook you up, her dad has a store outside of town."
Kyle looked at Steve with a mischievous grin and grabbed his shoulders, holding them against the mirror. After licking his lips he whispered "Can Sarah hook me up with you, perhaps?" Steve was shocked before realizing that Kyle had obviously first seen himself in the mirror. "How could I be so stupid." he muttered. After hearing this Kyle said "Oh you're not stupid, hun. How about we go back to my place and get wild? That'll make you feel better!"
