Now since we all know that both dragons and wyverns have evolved naturally
to fly at 10 to 15 miles per hour over long time periods
and can hit perhaps hit 35 to 40 miles per hour
for short five minute bursts whilst
chasing a swift deer
that begs the question
Why did the ancient dragons set up a military base on this isolated island
hundreds of miles away from most other
dragon encampments
and how did a dragon such as Skyslining
end up here in the
first place?
Which means we need to tell Skyslining's story.
Skyslining came from a hu man village of a hu man mother far far beyond her natural dragon ability
to fly to the island.
By the time the hu mans settled near the ruins of Dragon Base Mach 45
the dragons were mostly gone
and what the hu man settlers learned was that Mach 45
was a dragon military slang term for
speeds greater then 45 miles per hour.
As the great dragon thinker had declared
"dragons were incapable of flying faster then
45 miles per hour.
So this secret research base had been created to develop the machines
needed to boost a dragons speed to something
faster then 45 miles per hour.
Basically hot shot dragon and dragoness test pilots breaking
the speed and altitude barriers of the day.

However since dragon aerial combatants in the air wars
with the wyverns was taking a heavy toll on both sides
in the case of wyverns they transformed hu mans
into replacement wyverns using
Places of Power
and wyvern magic.
In the case of the dragons
they also used hu mans to replace their numbers
but with dragon science,namely genetic alteration of unborn
hu man fetuses.
By the time of Skyslings hu man mother
however
most of the reasoning behind all that ancient research had
been forgotten.
What Skyslinings mother knew was that for infertile
hu man females wishing to have a
hu man baby
you needed to get female dragons blood
put the blood into a magical machine hidden deep within the ruined
military base
and inject the resulting serum into your womb and
Abra Cadabra
nine months later a hu man baby was born.
Alas these hu man women had forgotten the cautions that
came with the directions
such as not taking the female dragon blood from a dragoness about to lay a egg
or under the strong pull of a
Near Moon.
So Skyslining 's mother Alessa
had gotten the blood of a egg laying
dragoness
injected the serum under
a Near Moon
and nine months later
the resulting bundle of joy
wasn't hu man
but a freakish creature
with scales,a tail,wings and stuff
A baby dragoness
who had a hu man mind
with hu man instincts
and hu man urges to be loved by her mother Alessa
And so Skyslining the hu man dragoness
was born far far away from the Island in a
hu man village near the ruins
of a speed barrier breaking
military base.
