The first month of summer vacation had been interesting for the girls. Cole had settled into Kumikos place a week after school ended. While the two were happy together and adjusting to the new living arrangement there were some concerns. Cole’s parents thought he may be moving to quickly while Mika complained about the “extra curricular activities” the two seemed to engage in on a nightly basis. Despite these concerns the two were happy and Cole was adjusting to a more low key military position.
Claudia seemed to have patched things up with Julia after years of jealousy. The two sisters now found themselves talking to each other weekly. Plans were already in the works for Julias next visit. The two were trying to decide exactly what to do when Julia came to visit. For now though the girls found themselves occupied with other things.
The wedding of a Victoria Walters was rapidly approaching. Katie and her friends, after receiving their invitations, found themselves dress shopping on a weekly basis. Excitedly they talked about their plans as well as the travel arrangements. Mary Elise and Katie had both acquired their licenses. Happily they now drove the group where they wanted to go (much to Claudia’s relief). As a group they decided that the two couples would drive separately while Mary Elise drove Samantha. With another active day behind them the girls said their goodbyes and headed home. Katie and Kellie now found themselves alone on a Friday night for the first time in quite sometime.
“So what do you want to do tonight,” Kellie asked as she stretched out on the couch. Katie shrugged as she grabbed a drink from the fridge. “Not sure,” she said. “Everyone else is going on a date. Even Lisa and Jason are going out. I’m surprised your not babysitting.”
“Gloria is staying at Jackie’s house tonight,” she smiled. “So it looks like it’s just you by ourselves tonight.” Katie grinned as she sat down next Kellie. “Just like old times,” she sighed. “Can’t believe we used to complain about not hanging out with anyone. We’ve been so busy lately we haven’t gotten a chance for just us to be together.”
Kellie nodded as she leaned into her girlfriend, resting her head on Katie’s shoulder. “Ugh tell me about it,” she sighed. “I don’t know about you but I could use some us time.”
“Me too,” Katie sighed. “And with Lisa out of the house for the night we have plenty of alone time together.”
The two teenage girls smiled as they now kissed each other passionately. Breaking away they gazed at each other and sighed. “Still not ready to go there,” they said in unison befor giggling. “How about we just watch some t.v. for awhile.” Kellie nodded as she looked at Katie. “You know if we’re just going to cuddle on the couch and watch t.v. We might as well change into our pjs.”
“Awesome idea,” Katie exclaimed. “Why don’t you spend the night. I think we can both agree we’re not doing anything more than cuddle tonight.” Kellie rubbed her chin thoughtfully as she looked at Katie. “Sounds like a plan let me just tell my folks so they don’t worry.” Katie nodded as she watched Kellie call her parents.
After calling her parents Katie and Kellie changed into some pjs before grabbing some snacks and settling onto the couch. The two teens dressed simply in T-shirt’s and sweat shorts as they happily munched on some popcorn. Kellie sighed as she laid in Katie’s lap, flicking through channels. “Love it when you run your fingers through my hair,” she cooed. Katie smiled as her girlfriend nuzzled her head onto Katie’s lap. “And I love when you run my leg like that,” Katie purred as she watched Kellie trace her finger up her bare leg.
“You know,”Kellie mused. “You and I haven’t used the ring together in a while now.” Katie nodded as she glanced down at the ring. While they had used it recently most of the activity involved the entire group. The two girlfriends had not had an opportunity to use it just by themselves. “Huh hadn’t even realized it,” Katie stated. “You know how’s as good a time as any.”
Kellie turned her head up and smiled. “Thought you would think so,” she smiled. “So I figure we have two options. We can either have a sleepover like you and Lisa did that one time or age ourselves up to say....25. I’m actually pretty comfortable with either option.”
“So we either have an old fashioned sleepover like we used to or make ourselves all grown up,” Katie smirked. “Pretty sure if we age ourselves up we’re going to end up doing something we may regret later.”
“Like I said I’m good with either,” she blushed. “An old fashioned sleepover would be a Ton of fun, especially from what you told me about your and Lisa’s experience. Still being all grown up....” Kellie trailed off as she blushed a deep red.
Katie looked at the ring both options were very appealing. She worried though about the repercussions of what would happen if they became adults. Katie had a pretty good idea what the two would end up doing and wasn’t quite sure if they’d were ready for that. Sighing Katie now made her wish.
