So Damon the fairly hardened con man had already spent half his life
behind bars ( he's about 42 years old) and since Alcatraz Prison is where only the most hardened and lost cause criminals
go clealy he wasa crook for life.
However that sociopathic mind of his
had realized that
if this scrawny old chicken farmer realy was his father
and a wizard to boot ( he certainly believed this guy was a wizard now and also
was certain Wiffle was NOT his father)
then acting like a reformed model citizen might allow him to
steal magic secrets from the sucker.
In other words Damon the Con Man was already setting up his next con
and Wiffle was the inended victim.
Damon could already imagine being the worlds
only con artist who could
use magic.
He'd be famous down through the centuries
in those grimy beer halls
where cons and criminals hang out and
there'd be a nice big painting of Damon the Wizardly Con Artist
in that beer hall to which
the other crooks raised
a mug in honour of the Grandfather of All Cons
So Damon needed to convince this mark that he really wanted to do
good deeds in the community.
Were there any orphan girls who needed to be helped across the stret?So Wiffle phoned up Sister Monica and told her Damon "might' have repented his evil ways and wanted to help the Sisters of Mercy Orphanage.Monica doubted that and so did Wiffle to be truthful however the two arranged to have the hulking brute help little orphan girls going back and forth to school.Damons eyes glittered as he waited for the sucker to snap his fingers and send him via a teleportational spell back to the ship.Damon studied Wiffle carefully eager to memorize the spell so he could use it to pull off cons in the future.Wiffle wasn't that stupid however and the last thing he wanted to do was teach Damon any magic spells.So instead he phoned up the taxi and Damon went by car back to the ship orphanage.
However Wiffle,sensing trouble ahead,looked at the two Hens that used to be
Alexander and Brendan Shady,snapped his fingers
chanted the spell and the two brothers were themselves again."I don't trust my son Damon one drat second" muttered Wiffle to them."I won't teach you boys magic,since you're nearly as bad s Damon,but I will give you technology with magic in it so that you can keep and eye on that shyster stepbrother of yours and make sure he helps the orphanage"
And so Wiffle gave the two brothers stuff to help them act as 'chaperones' to make sure the
