The nightclub was only a short walk away. I tottered there in the Stilettos Sarah had made me wear. We were readily allowed entry and James found a table at the back of the room where we made ourselves comfortable. A barmaid bought over cocktails for all the ladies while James and 'Rod' (really Sarah) had beers.
Before long Jenna and Emily were up on the dance floor and soon found themselves partners.
After finishing their drinks James took Monique by the hand and led her to the dance floor joining Jenna, Emily and their partners.
'Rod' saw my drink was empty so ordered another round. I sipped on the cocktail watching the dancers out on the floor. After 5 minutes I realized I was watching the men rather than the gorgeous girls. Not what I would doing if in my own body.
Soon enough Monique and James returned. Monique shouted over the music to suggest that me and Rod should have a dance. "My feet are sore" I replied (they were not sore actually. It was remarkable how comfortable I felt in the high heels).
"I know you love dancing Sarah, get out there and enjoy your night"
"Maybe later" I replied. I was finding it hard not to tap my feet to the music.
Emily had retreated to another corner and was talking to the man she had been dancing with. Jenna appeared to have given up on her dance partner and returned to our table. "Aren't you dancing? she said.
"Her feet are sore" said Monique.
"In that case you won't mind me taking Rod for a spin" replied Jenna, grabbing Rod's hand and hauling him out onto the dancefloor.
I watched for a while. They were a very attractive couple. 'Rod' appeared to be a very good dancer. A slower song came on. I could see Jenna holding 'Rod' tightly as they rocked backwards and forwards. I realized I was jealous of Jenna dancing with my man. I went to take another sip of the cocktail but it was empty. Bugger this I thought. Got up and walked out to the dance floor, tapped Jenna on the shoulder and took hold of 'Rod'. Jenna left to return to the table.
Another slow song followed and I found myself rocking gently in Sarah's masculine arms. It felt very comfortable. A more lively song came on and I found myself enjoying watching 'Rod' dancing in front of me. I was amazed how well I could dance in the female form and wearing high heels.
When the song finished 'Rod' whispered in my ear "Come with me for a walk. We need to talk alone"
We found an empty alcove where the music was not too loud. Sarah looked at me with concern "Jenna suggested she and Rod have a history. You're his best mate, do you know anything of this?"
I thought about what I should say. "When we left school I do remember Jenna at a party and Rod saying she was hot. I did catch them talking together later. But Rod had never suggested anything had happened between them. That was before you and Rod started dating"
"Let's have one more dance then go home" said Sarah leading me back onto the dance floor. We had two lively songs. then I was back in his arms for a slow song. When that song finished he said "Let's say our goodbyes and find a taxi"
Soon enough the Taxi pulled up outside Rod's house. The alcohol I had drunk was taking effect and Sarah had to help me to the door.
