"God why am I so dumb?" Derek said in frustration. Before he could even realize what was happening, his intelligence drained out of him. Gone were any hopes of being a mechanical engineer now. He was already on probation for his lackluster performance in his art history major, and there was no way he could do anything close to the math required for his former major. The only reason he survived was because of Lucas' constant tutoring and help.
Derek giggled as his intellectual self disappeared. He was so glad Lucas was always around to help him. If he didn't have him around, he didn't know what he would do. Just a few minutes without his best friend and he had already bought a stupid tongue ring just cause it claimed to be magic. If only he could always have him around.
"Duuuuude, you'd be the best boyfriend I could ever ask for. We work so well together," Derek said dumbly. Reality's changes were very subtle this time as Lucas gained a fetish towards everything that described Derek. Half the reason Lucas spent so much time with the boy was cause he had a massive crush on him. Lucas still had an active sex life, but now it was because he couldn't have Derek. They were best friends and Derek was a complete dumbass, so he couldn't take advantage of that. Nonetheless, in every one of his sexual pursuits, he always thought it was Derek he was fucking and not some random person he'd only met a few hours ago.
"Derek, you're not dumb. And we would make a good couple in my opinion too but you know that can't happen," Lucas explained as simply as he could.
"Why not dude? We both love each other a lot, right? And, like, it should be hot to be with a guy this dumb. You're so much smarter than people, it's so easy for you to control them. You should love that," Derek responded, sealing his fate. Derek and Lucas' lives changed drastically. Sure, they were best friends, but that couldn't also mean they weren't lovers. Why not, right? There was no reason not to be. Besides, it was such a turn on for Lucas to be with someone so stupid. He could take advantage of him so easily, especially with how smart Lucas was. The top of his class, and set up for the best opportunities life could offer as a result, Lucas loved taking advantage of anyone he could. It was so easy to manipulate people with his superior intelligence. In fact, Lucas and Derek's IQs couldn't be more different. It was a good thing they were a couple. They could care of each other; Derek taking care of their menial jobs while Lucas could handle all the complicated things. Plus, with Derek being so dumb, Lucas could get plenty of action on the side to satisfy both his own raging, unquenchable libido as well as his pudgy boyfriend's needs.
With Lucas' new, enhanced IQ, a thought occurred to him. "Hey, Derek, can you say something for me to see if the ring works?" he asked his boyfriend.
"Sure, babe, what is it?"
"I want you to say: 'Lucas has and will remember and understand any changes to reality," Lucas stated. He knew it was a lot of words for his lover, but he had to get the wording right. As they said the phrase together this time to get it right, Lucas' memory filled with all his past realities and the words Derek used to change them. A smile crept on his face as he realized that the stud worked and he could use it to his advantage however he wished.
