"So," Katie sighed. "Can you two tell me how all this happened."
Gloria and Sasha blushed as they looked at each other. "Well," Gloria said sheepishly. "Me and Sasha ended up going out to dinner. We..um kinda came back here and um..I told her I like her."
Katie looked her sister and friend over noticing how uncomfortable the two young teens seemed. "So I'm guessing you two found out you don't like each other like that huh."
"Yeah," they said shyly nodding their heads. Katie smiled, shaking her head. "Look it happens," she smirked. "So what if your not girlfriends. So what if you two like guys only. If you two are close friends that's all that matters. There's no need to feel self conscious about it."
"We um tried kissing each other," Gloria said meekly.
"We kinda realized it just...felt weird," Sasha added.
Katie listened as the two girls now talked about their feelings. Both girls ha an incredible amount of admiration for one another. Gloria considered that this admiration might be love. Katie tried to hold back a laugh as she looked at her kid sister. Gloria was only now really beginning to understand herself sexually. Naturally their would be bumps along the road, judging by the way these two were acting they considered it a huge deal when in reality it wasn't. As Katie looked at the two an idea came to mind.
"Okay I think I know someone who can help," she said. Grabbing her cellphone Katie quickly sent a text message saying she needed them to come to Gloria's house quickly. Almost instantly the three turned to hear someone bumping around inside the closet. Smiling Katie opened the closet door only to see Samantha and Mike stumble out.
"Nice entrance Sammy," Katie giggled. Samantha blushed as she now tried to to stand. "Sorry," she said meekly. "That whole teleporting thing is alot harder than it looks."
Katie smirked before looking over at Mike, Samantha's boyfriend. "Sammy whats Mike doing here?" Samantha blushed slightly as she took her longtime boyfriends hand. "Um I can explain," she said quickly. Katie narrowed her eyes as Samantha blushed fiercely. "Listen," she said. "Mike and I have been living together for awhile and...well, it just didn't feel right keeping this from him."
Katie's eyes went wide as she looked the couple over. "You told him," she exclaimed.
"Well she told she has a magic necklace," Mike said.
Katie sighed and shrugged. "Well I guess he was going to find eventually anyway," she said. "Anyway though wanted to ask a favor from you. Kinda need some help with Gloria and her friend." Samantha nodded before curiously looking at Gloria. "No problem Katie but what exactly is the issue?"
"Remember how you felt about Lisa when you first met her?"
"Oh god," Samantha blushed as she buried her head in her hands. Looking Sasha and Gloria over she smiled sheepishly. "So these two?"
"Yep,' Katie nodded.
"Okay," Samantha sighed. "Girls, listen umm..I kinda know what your going through. I..uh..kinda went through the same thing with Lisa when I first met."
Sasha and Gloria curiously looked at Samantha as she now relayed the tale of her crush on Lisa. The girls gaped at Samantha as she told them how she really admired Lisa for everything she had accomplished. At the time she considered this admiration to be love, with Katie's help she realized that it wasn't. Samantha realized it was just idol worship, she wasn't in love with Lisa she just wanted to be like her.
"So basically yeah I was a fan girl," Samantha sighed. "Sounds kinda similar huh. Its not so much love but a desire to be better than you are. You see something in someone else and strive to be more like that person." Sasha and Gloria nodded, they could understand it the way Samantha explained it. The love Gloria thought she had for Sasha was just her own desire to improve herself. "I think I get it," Gloria nodded.
"I can't believe you were crushing on Katie's aunt," Mike laughed causing Samantha to turn and frown.
"Hey I was only 16," she grumbled. "And in the long run it paid off. Lisa and I have a very good relationship now. We can talk about anything and shes a close confidant. Now if you don't want to end up sleeping on the couch tonight Mr. Davis I would suggest getting that laughter under control."
Mike held up his hands defensively as he now tried to keep from laughing. "Sorry hon," he giggled.
"So this is just natural then," Sasha asked. Katie and Samantha smiled warmly at the two teens. "It's just part of growing up," Katie said warmly. "Your doing fine," Samantha said. "You two obviously care about each other. In the long run while this may seem weird it will strengthen your friendship. Trust me, once Katie helped me figure it out with Lisa it made mine and Lisa's relationship that much better."
"Thanks you guys," Gloria said hugging Samantha and Katie.
"No problem kiddo," Katie smiled. "Now please try to be careful with that ring okay? Remember, you need to be specific if you make any wishes."
"And if Katie isn't available you can always call me or Mike," Samantha added.
"Still not sure about Mike knowing about all this," Katie mumbled. Samantha sighed as she looked her friend over. "Will you relax," she sighed. "I mean considering you told Ashley and Jennifer back in high school I think it's only appropriate Mike knows. He's more than trustworthy and you know that."
"Okay true," Katie conceded before turning towards Gloria. "Hope our advise was helpful you two. Always good to see you two. Now have fun and be careful, remember you can contact anyone of us if you have a problem." Sasha and Gloria smiled and waved as she watched Katie and Samantha vanish.
"You realize your sister and her friends are awesome right," Sasha grinned. Gloria nodded smiling, she truly did feel blessed to have such a great group of people looking out for her, no matter how weird or awkward she felt about something.
