So way back decades ago before they got to be somebodies
the future Sky King and Jeremy Dashwood were students
at Skylan University and whilst Jeremy went for a Major in
Actuarial Sceneces ( Insurance Policies and Liability Probabilities) the future Sky King had studied
in Governance and Social Development
Alas they had both fallen in love with the same
female university student
and this matter of honour needed a duel to settle it.
So they had decided to have a duel
with air razor dueling pistols
They, their seconds and the various other witnesses
had gone to a remote
pasture where
after doing the 20 paces the two duelists
had turned
aimed and fired at the same time.
The bets had been on Prince Ida as it was known he was a deadly crack shot
with with a dueling pistol at up to a 100 paces.
Normally Jeremy Dashwood could n't hit the side of a barn
with a shotgun.
Luck was with Jeremy today and his ball managed to plant itself in the
shooting arm of the future Sky King.
However at the last second the future Sky King has jerked and shot upwards into the sky.
Whilst the officials attended to the wounded Prince
Jeremy and others had been staring upwards at the empty sky
in puzzlement then one
of the seconds
pointed to something
behind
Jeremy.
A short distance behind him danced the figure of Grace,a winged unicorn girl who
was tapping out some Scottish Sky jig reel whose tune only she heard
in her head.
However by the ways her hooves tapped and flew about the ground it must have
been one lively jig-reel.
The kid ,unawares there was a duel in progress, must have come out of the woods behind Jeremy and the future Sky King, realizing
the danger the child dancer had placed her
in
had discharged his dueling pistol
where it couldn't possibly harm her, even at his own risk of life.
The winged unicorn girl, noticeing everyone staring and pointing at her, suddenly froze
up and stopped her jig-reel.
The moaning and groaning future Sky King, bleeding profusely from his arm said
"Prithee child continue, this wound is but a scratch when I behold such
a lovely vision as you make when you dance"
