It was certainly very interesting to see Animalians interacting in the Renaissance Fair, considering creatures such as them didn't exist back in those times, except perhaps as folklore. Though there were some creatures who were considered ancient back in medieval times, even if they hadn't been formally discovered yet. There was a popular theory among folklorists that unearthed fossil inspired different mythical creatures. For instance, Protoceratops skulls might have inspired legends about griffins. And mastodon skulls may have likely been mistaken for cyclops skulls, the large nasal cavity in the skull easily being seen as a huge eye socket. And naturally, dinosaur fossils have been mistaken for dragon bones, even as far east as China.
It was certainly interesting to compare the armor and weapons of the medieval period to the natural armor and weapons of the Dinotopians and Cenozoics. For instance, Walter and Dory were showing how their club tails were just as strong as maces. They were demonstrating by pounding logs as another log was pounded by a large man using a mace. While Brett wasn't doing anything crazy like having swing a sword at his face, he was there to show how the Styracosaurus had a frill like a shield. Courtney was eager to demonstrate how she could bust down a wooden door with her head (which was wearing an insulating helmet of course). And Rachel was able to clearly demonstrate that a Stegosaurus's thagomizer was a very effective weapon.

"Ok, I agreed to come along with you and meet your gaming club, but don't you think the costumes are a bit much?" asked Wanda. Admittedly, her leather armor was less revealing than the barbarian armor that Shelly was wearing. After all, Shelly was supposed to be a more northern barbarian where the cold temperatures would make it impractical to being wearing less. Though as a woolly rhino, she dind't need to wear as much fur.
"C'mon, it's fun," said Shelly, "You need to enjoy yourself more. Lighten up more."
"I'll lighten up when I don't need so much heavy fur anymore," said Wanda.
"I'm the actual reptile, remember?" pointed out Shelly, "I'm wanting this late winter to end as much as you do."
"Yeah, you're not expecting me to join your club, are you?" asked Wanda.
"No, not until you're ready. Besides, the guys asked I not bring in any more girls until they've gotten enough boys to join up," said Shelly.
Wanda raised an eyebrow, "Seriously?"
"I know. Guys are sensitive about having their clubs having a female majority, even if they are former geeks," said Shelly.

Nessa was rather enjoying the fair, particularly the Highlands area. "Ah, brings me memories of me homeland," she said, "The bagpipes, the caber toss, the kilts. And the haggis they've got here ain't bad neither." Though haggis sounded disgusting to the casual outsider, when properly made it was not much different from a large mutton sausage. And carnivorous Animalians were a lot less picky than humans when it came to meat.
Nessa was a bit tempted to try her hand at the caber toss, considering how much strong she was as an Elasmosaurus. Contrary to what most people thing, the goal of the caber toss is not to see far someone can throw a caber, but if the caber can be standing on its end when it landed. But Nessa decided against it. She wasn't wanting to pull a muscle doing something she thought she was strong enough to do. Besides, she didn't want to tear the webbing between her fingers.
Quite naturally, a lot of people wanted to take a picture with the 'Loch Ness Monster' and Nessa was happy to oblige. Her personal favorite was when the bagpipe band took her photo. Nessa had considered learning the bagpipes herself earlier in her life, but had never gotten around to doing so. Perhaps now would be a good time to pursue that hobby. The only major problem is how much she'd be disturbing other Animalians. It wasn't that the bagpipes were horrendous-sounding, but they were very loud and quite a lot of Animalians had sensitive ears.

Jeremy coudln't have talked Polly out of dressing up at the Renaissance Fair if he tried. Once she heard about what kind of costumes would be worn there, she immediately wanted to dress up in her Elsa costume again. And that soon meant he had to dress up as well. And considering he was a Syntixisaurus rex, it was inevitable that he'd be dressing up like a king. At least he was wearing a more modest king costume and not as someone more elaborate like, say, Henry VIII. But he had to admit, Heather did look nice in her queenly dress.
Though Jeremy was acquainted with the beliefs of several centuries ago, he found very hard to not groan when he heard some of the most outlandish things that they believed in back then, particularly regarding medicine. "Is it me or has medicine only become competent in the last century?" asked Jeremy.
"Medical care wasn't always that bad," said Heather, "The doctors back then didn't kill everyone."
"By shear luck in some cases," Jeremy scoffed, "I mean, you have any idea how incompetent some of the quacks in Edwardian England were? I'd sooner take my chances with a witch doctor than one of those so-called doctors."
"Well, maybe in a century, our modern medicine will seem laughably backwards," said Heather.
"I think we're making better progress, especially with the Animalian virus," said Jeremy, "Once we've found a way to isolate the healing and youthening effects without the transformation, it would revolutionize civilization as we know it."
"Hmm, sounds a little too good to be true," said Heather skeptically.
"Well, that's the point of progress: to keep moving forward," said Jeremy.
