As Ally walked back towards the front she drew stars from other customers.
"Mommy I want a doggy costume like that!" Said a young boy. His mother stared at it.
"Erm...No billy, she's probably a furry, you don't want to be a furry." The mother said and ushered him along. "Weirdo. Probably calls herself good girl in the mirror."
Ally stopped. She'd heard the mother. Heard her loud and clear. She was a good girl. Why was that weird. Her ears grew hot inside her onesie. Hidden by the costume, it seemed the changes were more brazen. Her ears started extending. She could feel them rubbing the inside of the onesie ears...and suddenly she couldn't feel the onesie ears anymore. The ears of the costume started moving. She could hear everything in the store! New nerves connected the costume's ears to her brain.
"Mommy can I get a barbie doll." Came the small voice of a girl from the next aisle. Ally suddenly blinked, and smiled as she headed up towards the cash register.
"Haha, I remember when I used to play with those." She mused.
