Ty took six of his clones--Will, Matt, Dan, Reuben, Simon, and James--and went back into the Escher staircase room. They rode one of the staircases up to one of the higher floors, to his new room.
Ty had a room already, but the house could be changed with or without his new wishing power, so he decided to give himself a new room--one that no one but himself and his clones would know about. He led his clones up to a hallway, and into a small room. There were two windows to their right, a staircase below the windows, a chair and a bookcase. Ty had explained on the way that he was making a special loft for most of his clones, but none of them currently saw how nine of them could live in just one small room. Simon and James started to look down the staircase for more rooms, but right now there was just a door to Ty's own room. Instead, Ty directed their attention to the bookcase.
"The bookcase?" Matt asked.
"What about it?" Dan asked.
"I thought you wouldn't get it at first," Ty said as he swung the bookcase open. There was a small door behind it, and this sight made the clones realize what was going on.
Ty opened the door with a special key and showed his clones in. It was a small entry, and a few of the clones had to climb a few of the nearby stairs to clear the way for the rest. Ty showed them a bathroom to their right, with a stall around the toilet for privacy. Behind the stairs was a door to a room with two beds, for Matt and Dan. The next room was smaller, but was still big enough for two people, in this case Reuben and Simon. Upstairs was a large main room: part of it was a kitchen, but the rest was a bedroom for Greg and Mitch. Another room provided a bed for James, and up in an attic space were two beds for Henri and Ben. When Will asked where he would sleep, Ty said that he was going to be Ty's roommate.
Ty and Will left the annex to allow the rest of the clones to get settled before Greg, Mitch, Henri, and Ben came back from outside. They shut the bookcase and went down the nearby stairs to Ty's room, ready to help Will move in.
