The squeals of terror and alarm from John and the past vacationers filled the air of the mud pit and even carried a fair ways off from it. And while their cries did not go unnoticed they were not heeded as back at the villa Derrick had just finished having a snack at the buffet when the distant squeals reached his ears. Unfortunately due to the distance he thought it was something a making a whistling noise.
Curious about the noise and remembering all the animals the Ms. Hawk had said roamed the island and that they had the whole island to themselves which they were free to explore he went to the edge of the sea side villa and considered where to go.
The baboon gardener from earlier was no where to be seen but off in the distance he could make out tree covered hills and remembered from biology class that sort of environment was where monkeys usually lived. Of course he had also always wanted to see a seal or walrus up close as he looked down at the beach. Heck he could even see a river a ways off where there might be hippos or crocodiles, being able to see one of those up close when they were normally so dangerous would be pretty awesome too. And he also made out a shrub and tree dotted grassland where the zebras, giraffes, buffalo or other animals would be.
Spotting a stone bench nearby Derrick sat on it as he tried to decide where he wanted to go.
