I was reading a book when a letter appeared on my desk. I opened it and it read. "To Wizard Stien a call to a major meeting as been made. You have been called to join in the meet if you wish. It will be about the Dead lands and how to combat this necromancer that has been causing trouble the past year. We await your reply. The wizard council." ' So they plan to do something to deal with the bastard. Good.' I thought as I wrote a letter that I will be there I started packing things I will need for the trip to and back.
Three weeks later,
I had been traveling for the past three weeks and now have reached the city of Mandrill. I enter the gates and made my way to the building the meeting will be at. Soon I entered the building and let them know I was here. "I see, you are the last one so head to the meeting room. It will start in half a hour." A guard told me. I nodded and made my way to the room. I took a seat and watched as the rest came in not counting those who were already in the room. Soon it begin with the council explaining the topic of the meeting. I watched as many wizards spoke of and showed their plans on what we should do. It was a mess and most were to attack the main stronghold which was a very bad idea.
I stood up as the 52th idea of attacking the main stronghold was told and all went quiet. "Has the use of magic dulled your common sense?" I asked them causing a number of insults be sent my way. "It looks like it as for your idea to attack his main stronghold as it is now is a bad one. If we do it now we will lose most of not all of whatever force we use and add on to his numbers for his army will overwhelm them before they reach him or even reach his stronghold. If we are to put a end to him we must deal with his forces first. Once he loses most of his forces then we can attack his main stronghold and put a end to him once and for all." I told them. A good number of them were nodding and vocally agreeing with what I said. I turned to the council. "Normally I wouldn't ask of this but I request the use of 2 outlawed fire spells at least and till the end of this necromancer. Undead are weak to fire so the use of those spells will help with the dragons due to the amount of damage they can cause. If you decide not to I won't protest." I told them and told them of the spells I wanted to be used. I waited as they blocked sound from leaving where they are sitting and spoke about it for several minutes. "We will not allow them to be used now but depending on what happens during the fight with the necromancer we may change our minds to allow the use of them and till the necromancer's death." was the reply.
"Understood." I told them as I returned to my seat. The meeting ended a hour later as they spoke about how many solders from the kingdoms we should get and the number was 60,000 less than what we would had wanted but with things as they are there is not really a lot of choices for us.
