Chad arrived early at the fieldhouse. He opened the door, looked around, shrugged, and went inside. He didn't see any guys lingering nearby, so he was pretty sure it wasn't a prank. Still he had a nagging suspicion that it wasn't Karen Sinclair after all. He had seen her at lunch, and again in the hall between 5th and 6th period, and each time she had totally ignored him. No stolen glances or secret smiles. But if she wasn't the secret admirer, who was. He closed the door. The fieldhouse lights were off. It took a moment for his eyes to adjust to the dim light coming through the high windows.
Opening his mostly empty gym bag, Chad took out the golden scarab necklace that his secret admirer had left him. He put it on, then tucked it under his shirt collar.
"Wear only this?" he muttered, and under his breath, he whispered, "I hope she's worth it."
He began to take off his clothing, and put it in the gym bag. Before he took off his watch, he glanced at his wristwatch, and noted the time was 3:59 PM. He dropped his watch into the bag, and looked around the empty gym. He sighed.
At exactly 4PM, the alarm went off. It playing an eerie ancient sounding tune.
Music? Chad turned to face the music. It was coming from the darkest corner of the field house. He shrugged, and started swaggering toward the source of the music. It turned out to be an iPhone. The light from the iPhone screen glowed from behind some sort of chest. As Chad reached to pick up the phone, he realized that the chest was actually an Egyptian sarcophagus. He used the lighted screen like a torch shining it around, but he was alone. Alone except for the sarcophagus. He wondered? He'd heard of people doing it in a coffin. Maybe she was playing Snow White, only with an Egyptian twist. He fingered the scarab. There were hieroglyphs carved in the back. It looked old, museum old. It was heavy. Real gold? Hm? Chad recalled going by the new Social Studies teacher's room, and seeing a King Tut poster on the door. But he took Social Studies the previous year from Mrs. Murphy before she retired. He had thought that the new teacher was a guy? But maybe he had heard that wrong. He'd already had social studies, so he hadn't paid that close to attention. Maybe she was hot? He remembered 65 year old Ms. Murphy, and his cock and balls shrank close to his body.
He looked down at the sarcophagus, and sighed. He had come this far. If it was a dude, he'd have a good laugh. Chad set the phone down, and he lifted the lid. The sarcophagus was brightly painted, and was lighter than he suspected. It opened easily. Nobody was inside it, but there were a bunch of empty bandages, and a motion detector attached to a recording device. The playback was initiated.
"SURI, PLAY MUSIC WRAP LIKE AN EGYPTIAN!" ordered the recorder.
The music stopped, and the iPhone played and intense chanting in an exotic language. Chad turned to the music with his hand on the edge of the open sarcophagus. Suddenly, something grabbed his wrist. There was a bandage wrapped around his wrist. As he watched, the empty dusty bandages moved of their own volition. His forearm was completely wrapped in a second, and other bandages were wrapping themselves around his other wrist, waist, thigh, ankle, chest, neck, and head. He struggled to escape. Maybe if he could stop the iPhone. His vision was obstructed by the bandage on his head. He tried to shout, but the bandage gagged him. It was like the were alive. He was pulled backwards into the empty sarcophagus. The lid closed over him. He was plunged into darkness, as the bandages kept binding him tightly. He struggled to breathe. He felt the golden scarab burning against his chest, as the the chanting outside changed. Chad felt his body changing underneath the bandages. Still being tied up seemed to erotically excite him. He felt his erection straining against the bandages. Bandages means boner in French. An exchange student told him that the French word for bandages had the same meaning as boner in English.
Then there was a dim bluish green light. It had to be coming from the scarab.
