Returning to Gloria’s house Gloria and Sasha left from the car with Derrick trailing behind. The girls had already called their friends to give them the good news and invited them over. As they entered the house Gloria and Sasha could see their friends mingling with everyone else. “Hey Sasha,” Gloria said. “Why don’t you go talk with the others I’m going to talk with Katie and Kellie.” Sasha nodded and smiled, running to the others to tell them about finding her father a date.
Gloria began to make her way through two the happy crowd that now occupied her home. Gazing at everyone’s happy faces Gloria could only smile. Katie and Kellie deserved this, the two girls were both extraordinary people that had done so much good for everyone in the home right now. Gloria now wanted to thank the two of them personally, as well as finding out their wedding plans. Finally making her way through the crowd Gloria could see the girls talking with their parents and strangely enough an old man Gloria didn’t recognize.
Katie and Kellie now smiled as Gloria approached. “Hey been looking for you,” Katie said warmly, hugging her sister tightly. Gloria smiled as she looked over the group. “Sorry,” she said. “I had to get my friends, they wouldn’t want to miss this. How are you? Everyone doing alright?”
“Just talking with the family and making plans,” Kellie said gesturing to everyone. “There’s so much to plan for and not as much time as you might think.”
Gloria listened as Katie and Kellie now talked of their wedding plans. Aside from a venue the girls needed to put together a guest list, find dresses and decide on a wedding party. Gloria nodded intently as she listened to the list of things the girls needed to prepare for over the next year and a half. “I didn’t realize weddings took so much planning,” she said in awe. “No one ever does,” Lisa laughed. “Thankfully for these two me and Kumi have some recent experience with this so we’ll be helping these two out.”
“And as far as paying for this Lee and myself would be more than happy to pay,” Maggie grinned. “I’m thinking we can help out with that Maggie,” Jason added. “I can safely say that Lisa would love nothing more than to help out in any way possible.” As Katie and Kellies parents now began to talk about the wedding, Gloria could see Katie and Kellie slowly stepping back from the group. Curiously Gloria watched, noticing both girls beckoning her to follow. Gloria slowly backed away from her parents, maneuvering her way through the crowd to find Katie, Kellie, and the old man in a side room.
“Sorry it was starting to get a bit boring,” Kellie said sheepishly. “All this planning was starting to make my head spin. Besides we have more fun things to talk about.”
“Like what,” Gloria asked.
“How about the fact you just gave Mika and Shiro and adopted little sister,” Kellie smirked. Gloria felt her face flush as she tried to stammer a response. “Gloria it’s fine,” she laughed. “Look things are working out great. Their are now six of you, which for some reason is a very magical number. At least that’s what our friend here says.”
Gloria now looked curiously at the old man Kellie was gesturing to. The elderly man had a long beard silver beard with equally long hair. Dressed in an expensive suit he smiled warmly at Gloria. “So who is this?” She asked.
“That,” Katie said grinning. “Is Merlin, he’s the one that made that ring of yours.” Gloria now gaped at the elderly wizard as he waved politely to her. “No way,” she whispered. Katie and Kellie giggled as they looked at the astonished young teen. “Yes Gloria I’m Merlin,” he said. “Pleasure to meet you. Katie and Kellie have told me so much abOut you. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your friends shortly, however, tonight, I think you should talk with your sister and Kellie.” Gloria nodded as Merlin smiled and hugged Katie and Kellie. “We’ll talk later girls right now I’m really looking forward to sampling some of the food Lisa ordered.” The girls watched as Merlin now began making his way through the crowd, vanishing into the kitchen.
“So that’s...”
“Yeah that’s Merlin,” Katie laughed. “We wanted you up to meet him. He’s been watching all of us very carefully since Katie found the ring. He’s been very impressed so far with how you’ve been doing. Turns out six is a lucky number when it comes to these rings so Sasha and Naomi were good decisions on your part.”
“Even if the idea of another sibling did make Mika a little grumpy.” Kellie added.
Gloria paled slightly as Katie and Kellie laughed. “Don’t worry Gloria,” Katie grinned. “Mika is fine, she just gets a bit grumpy when things change. Trust me she’s going to love having a little sister.” Gloria nodded, still unsure about Naomi being Mika’s kid sister.
“Besides we got bigger problems,” Kellie smirked. Gloria gave the two girls a curious look as they looked out towards the crowd. “Well What is it,” Gloria exclaimed.
“Two things,” Katie giggled. “One, we have to figure it the maid of honor. That’s not going to be easy.” Gloria rubbed her chin thoughtfully as she realized that would be a difficult decision. “Okay so what’s the second problem?”
Katie grinned impishly as she looked at her little sister. “Well looks like our engagement gave the others some ideas. Sammy, Mary, and Jen have all been giving their boyfriends hints since they came over here. We may be the first couple getting married but if the girls have it their way one of them will be next.” Katie, Kellie and Gloria now burst into laughter as they made their way back to the party.
