Agent Baoman was following Marcus through the tourist crowds at the Mount St. Helens park when the trail went cold. Baoman silently cursed to himself as he realized that he couldn't see Marcus anymore amongst the crowd of people. It wasn't until the crowds cleared that he saw that Marcus was nowhere to be seen. At that point, Baoman took a moment to look around. Marcus couldn't have gone far in the short period of time, and he knew that it would be a matter of time before Marcus slipped up. And when Baoman went into the employee parking lot and saw the body of the slain park ranger on the ground.
The agent looked at the body and took a moment to check the neck. The lack of pulse confirmed the death, but the warmth indicated that the ranger was killed not too long ago. The agent looked around and noticed tire marks on the pavement. He reasoned that Marcus killed the park ranger and took his jeep to get out of town. As to where Marcus went could be anyone's guess, but the agent figured that wherever Marcus went, he would find the rest of the Gamboni gang.
Agent Baoman pulled out his phone and called up the office of the Mount St. Helens park. "Hi. This is Agent Baoman of the FBI. One of your park rangers has been killed, and I need the help of your office." he started to explain...

Marcus was flying down the highway in the stolen jeep. He stuck mainly to the back so as to not to attract too much attention to himself. The last thing he needed was more cops on his tail. Fortunately for him, he didn't see any red and blue flashing lights on his way to Morton, WA, and he parked the jeep about 15 miles out. It'd be a hike to walk all the way from where he ditched the jeep to the town, but it was worth it to avoid being captured. The walk would give him time to think about all the ways he was going to teach Karen, his new "wife" so obedience. It would take several hours before he managed to reach the town and join up with Vito who was drinking it up at the local bar.
