Rob found his way back to the office but couldn’t find the receptionist. He simply walked back to Jason’s office. He knocked and entered after a horse voice answered.
Jason’s nose was red a puffy as he blew into a tissue, coughing directly after.
“Sorry about that. Your back earlier than expected, I assume the problem was taken care of?”
After Rob explained his new look and the situation and how he solved it the principle nodded.
“ Well that’s not how I would have exactly tackled it( laughing) but good job. I like your new look, very fitting for a student athlete. Although this is disappointing about my other protector. I’ll take that ring by the way. I wasn’t planning on giving you another mission until tomorrow but I’m glad you came.
Coughs
I’ve noticed a phenomenon a “ripple” if you will in the campus. A virus is infecting the students. We don’t know much I’ve already spent a few hours looking over some students in the bio-Lab. But it’s getting bad. The virus mutates almost twice a day and has unique symptoms.”
“ Like what.” Rob asked intrigued.
“ Well it starts off appearing as a normal cold, the symptoms go from bad to worse very quickly turning into a flu-like disease pumping the gas into the air and being transferred by body fluids. But the person can become nearly anything after the virus runs it’s course. I just watched an eighth grader turn into a grey wolf and twin sisters turn into koi fish. From the documentated cases we’ve discovered the change will last from a few days to over a week in most cases. However acute subjects go on for months. The first one we found still hasn’t changed back from being a 61-year-old native French speaker who believes he is from Bordoux and that was over six months ago. I don’t know how many students have it but we have documented 48 cases that we know of. And more get admitted ever day.”
“ That’s unbelievable can’t you just develop a vaccine with your powers?”
“ I have to know what to create to create it. Trust me I have tried. But you’ve still got the ring and my powers, I want you to get to the bottom of this plague. Try to find where it originated. Our most recent case was Riley Lark who is in the Lab. Go find out what he knows. That is tommorow of course you have had a long day and this problem can wait. Go home, get some rest, be a parent. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
