It was Friday night in the middle of September, school had started only a little while earlier and four best friends were in the mood for a game night. Cody and James lived next door to Dean and Vince and cams had just come over.
“What kind of stupid game is this?” Cody asked.
“I found it in a strange store,” Dean explained. “Some old man shoved it into my hands and said it was fun.”
“It literally just says TF on the cover,” James said. “There’s barely any instructions on the back.”
Vince grabbed the box from the two of them and read the back out loud.
“Get ready for some strange fun with the new TF,” he read. “It’s so much fun, you won’t even know it until your next turn,”
“That is some stupid wording,” Cody said. “But whatever.”
The guys sat down in the floor after moving the beds away to make room. Each person had a small square with various colors. The board was long and winding with different colored squares coordinating to different colored cards. Dean took the green square and rolled the two dice. He landed on a red space and picked up a card. He adjusted his glasses to read the card.
“Some say a third eye is necessary to see clearly,” Dean read. Suddenly straight in the middle of his forehead another eye grew. The other theee guys jumped back in astonishment.
“Dean!” Vince yelled. “What did you do?”
Dean looked at them confused and took of his glasses blinking with all three of his eyes. “Is something wrong?” he asked.
James stood up and walked swiftly to the door, only to find the handle missing. He marched over to the window to find no clear way to open it.
Cody couldn’t stop staring at Dean. However, his yellow square in his hand began to feel very hot, so he set it down on the board as picked up the dice.
