General Hill and I must've traveled for hours, it was only she and I so, there we were, traveling through back woods places, her, a twenty-seven year old short haired blonde woman, and me, a seven year old blonde girl, I felt like she felt pity for me.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"To the Spaceport, Rachel." She responds. "I'm taking you home."
I grin and lay on her arm. "Promise you'll never leave me, General Hill." I say.
She cradles my head. "Call me Helena." She says.
I grin as I drift into a deep sleep. "Thank you, Helena. For giving me this gift." I fall asleep.
After a few hours, we arrive at the spaceport. Helena and I board a ship and fly to Earth. Now, Earth is a neutral place, no fighting has happened on Earth in 156 years, since the Gender Bombings of 2019 that turned London, Tehran, Jeruselem, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles into female zones, while Edinbugh, Seoul, Tokyo, Brazil, Chicago, and Washington D.C. were converted into male zones.
It was decided after that, that any war must be fought off world, and thats how its been for this long, 2175 and we're still fighting. In the meantime, the Earth has behun to heal and for the first time, there is peace...
Anyways, Helena brought me to the Huston Spaceport where I was given my new birth certificate and my ID papers.
"When will you go back to work?" I ask.
"Not for a while, Rachel. After all, you need a mother." She says.
"You can do that?" I ask.
"Yes, General Tilly can handle operations for now. It will take years for the men to recover from what we did. In that time, I have much to teach you. If you'll let me." She says.
Without hesitation, I hug her. "Thank you, Mommy." I say. Helena picks me up and hugs me.
"Come on, let me show you home." She says.
We leave and journey to upstate New York. Helena's home is wonderful, with doors that tower over my seven year old body. Helena opens the doors and i see the three bedroom, three bath house from the insode. A quaint little place.
"Helena Hill!" A voice bellows from the stairs. I see her, a beautiful hispanic woman in a luxourious dress with rather large breasts. "Mi amor, I was wondering when you'd get home." She says.
Helena walks up to her. "Sorr, Ms. Hill, you know how busy I get." She says as they kiss.
"Yes, and the kid?" She asks.
"A newly turned woman. Her name is Rachel." She says.
The Woman leans over to me. "I'm Maria Daniela Quintero-Hill. How do you feel?" She asks.
"Fine." I say. Maria takes my hand.
"You are more than fine, my hija." She says.
"Your what?" I ask.
Helena kneels. " It means daughter, Rachel."
"It was no accident Helena took you in. Something they don't tell you is that when you're turned into an infant, your DNA is erased, within hours, breakdown will occur." She says.
"That's why we always keep emergency samples of DNA on standby, married couples more than singles." Maria responds.
"That's what I told them to do, for all intense and purposes, you are our daughter. Our hija." Tears stream down my face, I hug my new mothers, for the first time in my life, I am happy. Truly happy.
