Tad's day had been fairly regular so far. He'd gotten up, got ready for school, said goodbye to his mom and Claire before he left the house, walked to the bus stop with Amy, and rode the bus to school. From there, he'd been going about his daily routine, waiting until lunch so he could sit with Amy and talk. As he walked through the hallways, Tad noticed various flyers advertising a football game on Thanksgiving Day.
As soon as he got his lunch in the cafeteria and sat down with Amy at a table, he asked her about the football game.
"Oh that?" she said. "It's the annual Moon Lake High Thanksgiving Football Game. Every year since the school was founded, our football team goes up against one of the other high schools in the area. It's a pretty big deal to most people in the town."
"Wait, what about the NFL game on Thanksgiving Day?" Tad asked curiously. "Surely people don't want to miss that."
"That's why the game is hosted a little earlier than most games," Amy explained. "Usually it starts at around 10 AM."
"And the other teams?" Tad asked. "Do they come here to play?"
"Yeah, why do you ask?"
"Has anyone found out about the town's secret during one of these events?" Tad asked curiously. "What if something happens?"
"It's never happened before," Amy said. "The school makes sure that everyone who comes doesn't transform during the game."
"Interesting," Tad said.
