It was around this time that those who were in the lower-upper classes began to arrive in Animalia. Many of them tended to spend time in the Meat Market, but there were enough who didn't, but looked for other things, that they managed to not sour their image, so to speak.
There were also several plans in motion, mainly for the unveiling of Project Dinotopia. There were also several amusing things going on.

"Let's hope that we've brushed up on our rehearsal for the unveiling." said Tyra at one Project Dinotopia workout.
"That's not until the 30th and 31st of May." said Heather, still a little sore at where her new "tracker chip" was placed.
"I've heard that Andrew and Jen are breaking Meat Market records with their couple performance." said Sharon, "I hear their getting plenty of practice for the unveiling ceremony."
"I'm just glad that Sophie and Roland will be joining us as pterodactyls when their school year is over." said Heather.

Since Bash and Belle were born on Mother's Day, which was tomorrow, there were plans to celebrate both as a kind of communal holiday. Fortunately, it was easy to keep both of them occupied but their new teeth were coming in relatively quickly so new 'teething toys' were priority presents.

There were also many new contracts being put up for ASM, but a new problem was turning up. It was similar to the Spring Fever problem, but this time it was called Summer Heat. There were many volunteers who wanted to help 'treat' Summer Heat, but many of them were turned down, much to their chagrin. This often lead to many amusing things found at 'the bottom of a cup', and incidents of 'just when you think you've seen it all...'.
There was one incident where a drunk man was riding a stolen horse home, thinking he was somehow back in the wild west (the mare was uplifted after the arrest), and another who was caught peeping at Claw Coliseum. But one was really noteworthy. It involved one individual who was 'pickled before noon' and was getting a little 'handsy' at ASM. During his sobriety test, specifically the line walk, he decided to do a little dancing at the turn and follow it up with a backflip. Unfortunately, he landed on his face and blew his chance for a bondmate.
One really surprising thing was how Tyler managed to get together with Countess Irena. When she revealed her real age, Tyler was even more surprised, not so say what the media would have said if Irena mentioned using him to 'rebuild' an extinct species. One politician with a degree in history managed to douse the flame war enough with his comment on it to enable the naturalists to extinguish it completely.

When President Benjamin Harrison passed the first comprehensive pension legislation for civil war veterans, it became the first great American boondoggle. Not only did he nearly bankrupt the US Treasury in doing so, the payments were so enormous that when the law was passed in 1890, fourteen year old girls ran off to marry seventy year old men, because they knew that one day they would get their pensions. So it's not like this kind of thing hasn't happened before."
No matter what anyone else thought, Tyler used that as an excuse to start exercising a lot more than he otherwise would as part of the GGAC. Fortunately he wasn't the only one who thought so.

"Did you know that most snakes have very long mating rituals?" said Drew who was his workout partner at the time, "Around six hours?"
"...That's long." said Tyler, not knowing what else to say.
"That apparently also applies to Snake Animalians," replied Drew, "I'm going to need a lot of endurance and a heavily trained spirit if I want to be a father."
"Good luck." said Tyler, hoping that extinct goats didn't last as long, or longer.
