The panicking driver slammed on his brakes and started to swerve to the right. We were so close that we could practically see the terror in the eyes through the glasses of the old lady on the road. In a split second I scream "I wish you were HOME!!"
I had no idea why I yelled that except it was the first thing that came to mind in panic. The bus was unable to turn in time and everyone braced for impact... which didn't happen. The bus several seconds later came to a screeching halt. The inside was an absolute mess. People slowly lifted their heads and started looking around, some sobbing. "What the Hell happened!" Trish asked in a angry voice. "I.." the bus driver turned around to face Trish. His face was completely drained which shocked Trish into silence. Something was off about his look. "I..I could have reached out and touched her. She was that close. But She just disappeared before my eyes! I have no idea where she is but we definitely did not hit her.. It was like.. she was a ghost"
This visibly upset Trish. She hates it when people bring out the paranormal as an explanation. As for me, I was relieved. That could have been the end right there.
Speaking of which, where was she anyways?
My eyes widened in horror as I realized what I've done. "Shoot," I mutter as I take off homebound. Thing is, I must have sent the old lady to my house. The place isn't the problem, but who resides there. My uncle had been crashing at our house until he could find a job. But he is extremely paranoid of break ins and always has his gun handy. Trish didn't see me run off as she was still investigating the driver of whether he had been driving under influence of drugs. As I ran with my life I wondered if I had rescued her just to see her be killed..
