Sarah awoke the following morning being lightly nudged. She let out a groan as she opened her eyes to see it was her husband, Doug, waking her up. She slowly began to realize she had dozed off on the couch. She slowly sat up a bit to wake up more. She had to admit she was surprised to see him.
"Good morning, sleepyhead. I guess you fell asleep out here last night." Doug gently reached out and brushed her hair back before leaning in for a good morning kiss.
"Yeah, I must have." She couldn't help but notice that Doug seemed younger, more refreshed somehow. She watched as he stood up and walked towards the kitchen. "I was thinking we should go off together, just the two of us this afternoon. Have some alone time."
Sarah got up and followed him into the kitchen. "What about the kids?"
"They're old enough. They can take care of themselves. We're in the country. What could happen?" Doug opened the fridge and pulled out a carton of eggs and a package of bacon. Sarah was surprised, trying to remember the last time Doug cooked. She wasn't sure what was happening, but she wasn't about to stop him. He held up the two items. "Do you want to do the bacon or the eggs?"

Eric woke up to the smell of bacon and emerged from his bedroom a short time later, trudging downstairs to find his parents seated at the dining room table, enjoying breakfast, talking and laughing. Based on the previous night's events, he wondered if he was still dreaming.
"Hey there little buddy!" said his Father, beaming. "Take a seat. We've got eggs, bacon, toast."
"Is your brother up yet?" asked Sarah.
Eric shook his head no as he sat down and began to dish up.
"I'm going to go get him up then. I'd hate for him to miss breakfast." Sarah walked up the wooden steps to the second floor and knocked on Nate's bedroom door. She heard a quiet moan from the other side of the door. She opened the door and walked inside.
Across the room from the door was his window, the curtains pulled back and the window wide open. She looked over to the bed and saw a large, teenager sized lump covered in blankets. She walked over and started shaking him. Another moan emanated from under the blankets. She tried again and instead a growl came. She backed off.
"That's a weird sound to make at someone trying to invite you to breakfast." Sarah started back to the bedroom door.
"Breakfast?" said Nate from below the mound of blankets. "I'm sorry. I'm coming."
"Well, hurry up then." Sarah walked out of the room, closing the door behind her.
Throwing the blankets back, he slid out of bed, pulling on his discarded pair of boxers from on the floor where he left them. As he walked past the mirror on top of the dresser in his room, he stopped, shocked at the image reflected. He was looking a great deal more muscular than he was the previous night as well as a good deal hairier, with a nice patch of chest hair and visible hairs on his arms.
"What the..." whispered Nate as he grabbed his t-shirt off the end of the bed and went downstairs for breakfast. He trudged downstairs where he was greeted triumphantly by both his parents.
"There's the big guy!" announced Doug. "Good morning son!"
Sarah gave her son a loving kiss on the cheek. "Good Morning! My, I think it's time you started shaving! Can't have my baby boy going out in public looking like some sort of wild animal!"
Nate sat down at the table across from his brother. He felt absolutely famished as he grabbed a handful of bacon and scooped a couple of spoonfuls of scrambled eggs onto his plate. He looked over to his parents, cleaning up in the kitchen.
"Are they on drugs or something?" asked Eric.
"I have no idea," replied Nate. The two then resumed quietly eating their breakfast. Little did they know things were only going to get weirder from there.
