It was a circus truck coming from the left cross road which rolled to a halt directly in front of him. behind it were wagons of animal cages as there were tigers, bears, and others animals you would see in the circus. A grizzled-looking young man with a black top hat rolled down his window and then shouted at James.
"What are you doing way out here, sir?" The driver said that one by one, clowns in costumes poped out of their windows. James thought it was like something right out of an old fashion movie he once knew, but instead of a team of horses emerging from the mist while pulling a huge stagecoach as the horses were snorting and coats steaming with sweat that this was basically almost the same to it.
"ha, Thank God. listen My GPS directed me out here that my car broke down, my cell phone died out on me, and- well, do you think can you give me a lift back to town?" James said.
"Well, it is getting late as I don't normally allow any passengers while we're moving, but in this case I might make an exception. I suppose you could come ride in the truck with us, if you don't mind the small space, or you could ride in one of our animal cages i'm pulling."
hesitated at first that James peered in the truck to see nearly no more room for any passengers, but he thought it couldn't be any worse in the back with the animal cages. "The animal cages seem like they would be uncomfortable and I supposed i can squeeze in the truck so I'll do that. Again Thank you." he said as he blurted it out.
The driver hopped out of the car and let James in the truck. There wasn't much room but James was able to fit. He looked around and saw he was surrounded by clowns. "Their makeup looks so real," James thought.
The driver got back in the truck and started to drive again. "So what's your name?" the circus man said.
"I'm James," James replied back.
"Well, welcome James. I'm Mr. Fitz and these are my clowns."
The clowns started laughing and saying things like, "yeah!" and "that's us!"
James laughed along with them. He was very fond of clowns actually and sometimes even dreamed of joining the circus to become a clown, but would never because of the embarrassment.
The ride into town was pretty smooth with the occasional bump here and there. James noticed though that instead of turning into the main part of town they drove right by it and pulled up to some circus tents. Mr. Fitz and the clowns hopped out and James followed them.
"Hey, thank you for the ride I should be going now it isn't a far walk."
"Aw leaving so soon? C'mon boys lets show him our big surprise."
On that command the clowns started circling around James, showing no emotion but joy with their painted smiles.
"Please! I just want to go home! Please, please, please don't kill me!"
"Kill you?" Mr. Fitz and the clowns started to laugh.
"We aren't going to kill you! Grab him Bobo."
One of the clowns, a white face with blue triangle on his eyes, a big red smile and a rubber clown nose approached James. He wore a red jumpsuit with rainbow polka dots, yellow and red bubble toed clown shoes and had curly orange hair.
"Let me go!" James yelled
"Hehehe, no can do Mister!" the clown laughed.
"Now that we've got you we're going to..."
