Turning back to his reflection while standing up, the Chronivac landing on the hay, Ryan's mind swam with numerous possibilities while admiring his new physique in front of the closet mirror. For as long as he remembered, he seemed to get the short straw in many things compared to his older brothers in physical appearance and confidence. But now, having lost his embarrassing gut and being taller then most guys in his class, Ryan has got a game changer and has no intent of losing it. He picks up the Chronivac with both hands, seeing the caption reading, "Revert to previous?", and presses the 'No' button on the screen. He places the item in his backpack and heads to the house, not worrying about being seen as his parents are out while his older brothers Mike and Aaron are hanging with their friends.
On the way up stairs, Ryan notices the many framed pictures showing off his brothers before noticing one with him in it taken last year. He stared a moment, then got up for a closer look, seeing his new appearance in the photo. He noticed it more in all photos that date back to the star of his middle school years, musing that it does mean he won't need to hide himself from his own family. Ryan then reached the makeshift loft that he and brothers share, though the low roof and partial drywall clearly signs of not being ideal living quarters, with Ryan lying down on one of the twin-size mattresses on the floor.
Thinking of how he apparently altered his reality, Ryan then gave thought about his older brothers Mike and Aaron. Growing up with them, Mike and Aaron are the sort of twins who act like one person in making themselves identical enough that even their parents have trouble telling them apart. But there are subtle differences like Mike being more emotional while Aaron is a member of their high school's a swim team, the two having occasional arguments between them. But the two have each others' back, especially when ganging up on Ryan.
One such moment Ryan remembered was a month ago when he was coming home as the twins had just finished the grueling act of cleaning the stables. Mike confronted Ryan for ditching chores to hand with a friend, getting Ryan in an armlock before shoving him down into the cart of manure that Aaron carted over. The two boys laughed at their little brother before he ran into the house and took a long bath to wash out the smell. While Ryan technically deserved it for badmouthing the twins, it was still humiliating for him.
It was at that time that Ryan hears noises from outside the house, seeing Mike and Aaron in their matching tank tops and denims. Ryan then heard a bleeping noise and took the chronivac from his backbag, seeing new two profiles.
