“Be good sweetie,” Renee smiled while kissing Zossie’s cheek and making her giggle when she blew air up against it. The feeling was funny and despite her limited knowledge it did make the blow of being left by her mother more bearable. Another woman with smaller breasts and a lean frame took her in her arms and greeted her in baby talk. Zossie responded by babbling back and then the woman responded. Zossie was then carried into a room with two other babies and lain down on the ground while the woman began to babble to them and shake toys for them, toys that got Zossie excited and distracted her.
Brooke liked babies, she always had and the three little girls she looked after were so cute she wanted to die. She played with them, read them stories and fed them all lunch before putting them down for a nap. Everyone fell asleep easily except Sophie who was being a nuiscence and squirming and crying. Brooke dig through Sophie’s bag but couldn’t find her soother. Instead she settled on Zossie’s bag where her mom had packed an extra soother. She snatched it up and gave it to Sophie without realizing what it was. Sophie began to suck on it while her eyes drooped and Brooke gave a sigh of relief thinking the problem was solved.
