Ben was the next one to be called out to the stage. He had the special gift of being excellent in everything he done, whether it be academic, creative or sporty. The sports meant he was rather good looking and the academic side made him extremely smart, he was the dream of most girls, smart and attractive. But he could never experience the love from those girls because of his sexuality. Not that anyone knew about that.
Ben stood up on the stage.
"Ben. Your word is arf."
Ben was confused. 'Is that even a word?' He thought to himself and let out a small laugh. "A-R-F. Arf," said Ben feeling silly also noticing he had made it sound energetic.
"Correct. Good boy Ben. Have a seat."
Ben was relieved and estatic at the response. And the spelling bee didn't look like it was going to be too difficult. He was still wondering whether arf was a legit word.
Ben walked backstage to the other contestants. He held his tongue out and began to feel compelled to lick something. He quickly licked the seat he had been sitting on. As he looked around he saw James and Ashley on their hands and knees sniffing each other's butts. "What the fuck!" He shouted. James and Ashley quickly turned around with puppy dog eyes. "You were sniffing each other's butts," stumbled Ben concerned about the sanity of his competitors.
"Come and join us," said James.
"Fuck no. I'm not sniffing your butt," replied Ben disgusted.
"Oh," sulked Ashley.
"Oh fine," sighed Ben.
"Yay," said James, his butt wiggled around excitedly.
Ben took a sniff of Ashley's behind. It smelt perfect. He didn't notice that his nose had turned black until he looked at James.
"Dude. Your nose is black," said Ben.
"So is yours," he replied. They then turned to look at Ashley. They gasped at what they saw and almost fainted. They saw Ashley transition into a young German Shepherd.
"Fuck," cried Ben, "We're turning into dogs."
"I don't want to be a dog," panicked James. Ashley started barking. Despite the language barrier, it was obvious she was concerned.
"What do we do nooooooooow?" Said James as his voice faded into a growl. He tried talking again but only let out dog sounds.
"I don't ........," Ben's voice had also faded into a growl.
After their voices had gone they quickly transformed into dogs. James had become a young Australian Cattle Dog. While Ben had become a Border Collie.
The 3 dogs looked at each other. Puzzled, confused and terrified.
Someone suddenly appeared backstage. It was
