It was then a woman came to the farm. It was late, darker than dark.
The woman approached Joel, still a goat, and shook her head with pity.
“Another victim of Pan. That greedy no good...” the woman stoped herself, and the took a deep breath.
Joel opened his eyes and frowned.
“Baa?” He said.
The woman was tall and proud, clad in a thick red robe. Her hair was tied neatly with long threds of flowers. There was an aura about her, something pure and innocent.
“My dear, I can revoke Pan’s infection, however I must make amends with spirits, and I will require an assistant. Agree, and I will it only make you a man, but give you a new lease on life. If you want to get revenge on Pan, I’m afraid you’ll need to do that by yourself.”
Joel thought for a monument, and bleated back the the woman.
She smiled, let out a hearty laugh and waved her hand.
First, the yellow tag in Joel’s ear vanished, still leaving a hole. His body quivered and shuddered as big by bit his fur coat fell and receded into his body. His figures grew and spread, his legs reverted and change loss their goatyness. With a stumble, Joel raised back up to his feet, a man again.
He looked up and down his naked form and smiled. He rushed and hugged the woman and laughed harder than he ever had.
“Thank you. Thank you!” He cried.
The woman chuckled and replied “No problem. Now tell me, what was it you wished to do? You can join me and help the spirits of the world, other souls like yours. Or will you go alone and seek vengeance for pan for what he has done to you?”
