Elizabeth watched her sister and brother in law kiss and decided she needed a little break from the affection so she gathered herself up and made her way very slowly towards the water. Her baby was heavy but hadn’t yet grown to the point where it inhibited her walking ability. She made her way to the water’s edge and felt the cold tide rush over her toes. It was sweet relief from the summer heat so she spread no time in wading out into the water and through the soft sand being pulled towards and against the shore. Coolness spread through her body and she smiled happily in the rather hidden area of the beach. Not many people hung around. A couple of guys played frisbee near the shoreline and a few children played in surf but nothing too intrusive. It was quiet and Elizabeth went up to her shoulders in the water and sighed in relief, unaware that the sunscreen that had turned her pregnant was leeching into the water around her.
