It all started a few years ago. You were walking home normally when you saw a small trail of blood. Knowing that it couldn't have been from a human, you followed it leading to a small whimpering injured animal. The animal had several scratch marks all over its body with the main three noticeable ones on its forehead. Being the caring type of person you are, you picked it up as cautiously as you could and take it home. You take care of it for a couple of weeks until the wounds heal and released it into a nearby forest.
That is when the feeling started. You had sense that someone, or something was watching you. They were observing you. You couldn't shake of the feeling . To make it worse you had these nightmares . Every night you would have the same nightmare, or mostly similar due to the choices you take. You are walking down an alleyway and there you are asked a question by a shadow, "______?" You would answer whatever you want and based on that choice the outcome would change. However, you would wake up forgetting what the question was or what the reply was. But you would know it was different somehow. You tell yourself that you are just being paranoid and everything that was happening was just in your head. You get use to the dreams after a while.
One night, you had worked overtime and was going home late. You looked at your watch and it read 3AM. It was too late to take a bus so you decided to walk home. You didn't have much choice as everyone you knew was sleeping. Besides, your house wasn't that far. As you walk , the once clear streets was overcast with mist. You get a sinking feeling in your chest and started to hurry quicker to your house. The view in front of you becomes unclear and you get the feeling of eyes beaming down on you. Mysteriously, you find yourself at a dead end, an alleyway.
"This is just a dream, right?"
It was completely dark and the only thing you could see was two glowing eyes walked to you. Knowing that this was a dream you prepared for the question and a voice asked...
