In his clutches you did your best to get a view of where you were. Which was hard if the person carrying you was also shaking the cage around. But you did the best you could.
The town looked medieval. There were no cars, no electricity, not even modern clothes on the people. Just horse pulled carriages and men and women wearing dress clothes.
As you began questioning the new scenery, a terrifying thought came in your mind. ‘Had that griffin taken me into the past?! Or worse, another dimension? I’m not even in my own body for pete’s sake!’ Then another thought came in your mind, ‘I’ll escape this hell-hole tonight! Just need to figure out how...’
While you were coming up with escape plans, the person holding your cage stopped at a market. Or at least, what you guessed was a market.
“Howdy, Blake!” He said. Then the shopkeepers eyes laid on you. “Now say, ain’t that a single colored griffin? Those things are rare! Man, if I can get my hands on one, I’d sell it for a pretty price!” You glare but make a sounding similar to fear.
“Wonder if I’m scaring this young girl? How old is the youngster?” He asked.
Blake responded saying, “It’s actually a she. And no she ain’t here for profit. She’ll fight for the Medieval Kingdom with a rememberable fight. Of course, she’ll need training. Unless she’s like...” He shivered. “Unless she’s like Rouge...”
Suddenly, everyone within a ten foot radius gasped at the near mention of his name. Blake even looked shook himself.
“Blake, ya know I mean respect an all, but you’re not allowed to mention, The Pain.”
‘Who’s “The Pain?”’, you wonder in your head. Blake then spoke. “Blackfrost is a newborn. I don’t want her following in the footsteps of a monster griffin who joined the Stormworks Kingdom. The only thing she really knows is her mother. And we don’t need her knowing about her older brother.”
‘What a weird world,’ you think. ‘But I need to get back home.’ Then you saw some other shopkeeper explaining to someone how to use a cage that looks just like yours.
“Now look. It’s easy. The entrance to the cage is locked so you’ll need a key. But there is a loose pole in the back of the cage. It’s like that in all of them. But the griffins don’t know that. And we should keep it that way.”
‘Huh. A loose pole? Wonderful. Blake already looks distracted by the shopkeeper, so I can escape now. But how strong am I? I’m the same size of a house cat. Well there’s only one way to find out...’
You find the loose pole and put your mouth on it. ‘Now this is degrading. But when I get it will all be worth it.’ With a slight tug in it falls into your mouth. You made sure it won’t make noise and thankfully it didn’t. With an entry way now, you made your move to escape. Sliding out of the poles, you landed carefully on the ground. Except the pole you were carrying fell with you.
Blake and the shopkeeper both look at the cage then you. “Blackfrost! Get back in the cage!” Then you ran and so did they. “Someone stop that griffin!” Were the only words you heard as you disappeared into the crowd.
