30 years ago a company by the name of Transanimal Tech created the product 'Animcostumes'. They were anthromorpic animals costumes that made the wearer feel & even take on the characteristics of whatever animal the costume was modeled after. With these costumes you could be an anthromorpic animal. The world was changed forever by them. Some people thought these costumes were wrong or even dangerous; but that didn't stop people from using them. Furry Cons became more popular then they had ever been in the years following their creation. The Animcostumes soon not only were bought by people for public use but some businesses bought them for their use. A few companies went so far as to have their security guards don dog Animcostumes to be guard dog security guards.
