While most of Animalia and the world was focusing on Animalia's Summer Events, other things seemed inconsequential but that didn't mean that other things weren't being covered.

The Ice-Haus was booming so quickly, due to being in the right place at the right time, that it was time for another expansion. This time there was a new Olympic swimming pool attached to the main building. What made it different was the fact that it was kept at "arctic sea" temperature for the convenience of the arctic swimmers that frequented the Ice-Haus.
"Is it true that you have praline shrimp-flavored ice cream!?" asked one reporter, somewhat surprised at the list of foods at the main meal counter.
"It's more realistic than you realize." said the cashier, "During the early years of the American Presidency, James Madison's wife Dolly was known for having oyster as a favorite flavor. It wasn't until closer to the 20th century that the ice cream as we know it today reached it's main 'evolution'. Anyway, the praline shrimp is for the arctic penguin Animalians."
"Yeech!" said the reporter, which was apparently all that he could say.
"I'd say that we're both still stuck on that oyster-flavored ice cream line." said a guy next to him.

One really heartwarming story told about Owen, a kid who spent most of his seven years in a foster home, and the only real family he ever knew, a large female domestic rabbit with silvered coat. When Owen's rabbit, which he named Bunni, was diagnosed with Rabbit hemorrhagic disease, his foster parents decided to uplift her to keep her with Owen. But this had an unintended side effect, but it was wholly welcomed.
Due to being a crossbreed between a Blanc de Termonde breed and an Argente Clair, Bunni had shot up into a 7-foot tall amazon of a rabbit, which was prompting more research into the virus, mainly because most of the uplifted rabbits Horizon had on record topped out at 6 feet tall, not counting ears. When she was reunited with Owen, not only did he accept her, she decided to adopt him, taking the name Clair as her family name. Bunni was also one of the few rabbits that didn't work at the Meat Market, whether part time or full time.
After she had completed her acclimation classes, she was able to enroll in an online college psychology course. She was already well on her way to getting certified as a child therapist, but that wasn't her only source of income. She also did some modeling work with ASM, mainly of female Animalian "business suits", not the sexy/skimpy outfits that most people prefer. When asked about it, she made it clear that she wanted to be a good mother for Owen.
