Steve always thought sharks were cool. Not in a bro, predatory, boyish way, but genuine fascination in their anatomy.
Steve always thought having a skeleton made of cartilage instead of bones. They also had really interesting teeth, growing in large rows which would continually grow back as they fell out. Also, despite what they looked like, they had microscopic scales. Sharks also had senses that humans didn't have, such as Pit Organs that allowed them to sense infrared radiation. They also came in varieties varying from the tiny Dwarf Lantern Shark to the humongous Whale Shark. They also had many amazing varieties in between, such as the Hammerhead and the Goblin.
Along with other cartilagenous fishes like rays, he thought they were majestic, and it was a shame that they were feared and hunted as they were. He wished he could do something about it.
