Alr Katie watched Kellie and her friends with interest. While the girls seemed to be making some progress there appeared to be one slight problem; Lisa, Kumiko, and Mary.
Alt Katie didn't need magic to see the deep seeded animosity between the three. While she wasn't sure why, she could tell that a definite rivalry existed between them. Wanting to diffuse the situation Alt Katie beckoned Lisa and Kumiko over to her.
"What is it," Lisa asked curiously. Alt Katie gave the two teens a critical look before addressing them. "So what is it with you two and Mary," she frowned. Lisa frowned, glancing back at where Mary sat. "Long story," she sighed. "Lets just say that even if Kellie can work something out with Mary I don't exactly see us braiding eachothers hair or taking selfies with one another."
"She's nuts plain and simple," Kumiko said flatly. "That girl just loves being miserable and making others as miserable as she is."
Alt Katie rubbed her chon thoughtfully as she looked at the two teens. She didn't have time for petty teenage drama. She needed this to work. Talking with these two felt awkward though. She was used to the adult Lisa and Kumiko, not there immature teenage selves. Slowly though an idea began to form. "Well I have an idea," Alt Katie smiled. "How about you two come with me."
****************
Lisa smiled as she settled onto the couch. Gloria had left an hour ago on her date, after giving her some encouraging words she called Kumiko and Cole to see if they wanted to come over for drinks. Kumiko happily accepted, it had been far too long since the two friends had gitten together. With Cole and baby Tommy in tow, Kumiko arrived thanking Lisa for a night together.
"I must be getting old," Kumiko laughed. "This is probably the most exciting thing Cole and I have done witb another couple in a long time."
Lisa laughed softly as she topped Kumiko's glass off. "Oh come on Kumi," she grinned. "It's not that were old, our tastes have evolved. Instead of hitting the clubs we now just want to talk quietly over a glass of wine."
As the women continued to talk with their husbands, they could hear a commotion in the kitchen. Turning they curiously looked over only to see Katie smiling.
"Hi mom, hi Kumiko," she said cheerfully.
"Katie," Lisa said. "Im surprised your still here. I would of figured you would of headed back to school after Gloria left. Especially since you sent Sammy and Mike with them."
"Sammy and Mike are chaperoning," Kumiko asked. Lisa giggled, shakimg her head. "Not exactly Kumi, I'll explain later."
"No not yet mom," Katie said. "Was going to wait until Gloria came home. I'm...um..kind of involved in some really serious business right now."
"Nothing too dangerous I hope," Lisa said cautiously.
Katue shook her head looking at Lisa and Kumiko. "Hope not," she said. "I'm probably just overreacting but was hoping you and Kumiko could help me out."
Lisa and Kumiko gave eachother uncertain looks before risimg from the couch. "Well Katie," Lisa said. "I...dont exactly know what your up to here but we can try."
Katie smiled, appreciating Lisa's willingness to help. Slowly she turned back beckoning her companions to come forward.
"Holy shit," the two adults gasped.
Lias and Kumiko stared slack jawed at their teenage dopplegangers. The two teens stared wide eyed at the two adults, still trying to comprehend what they were seeing.
"So," Katie started. "I've, um...been doing alot of reality hopping lately. Turns out theres another reality out there thats similar to ours. Wont go into the gory details but kind of need you two to talk..um...with..yourselves."
Lisa and Kumiko were now joined by their husbands as they slowly approached the two teens.
"Wow," Lisa whispered gazing at her teenage herself. "She looks exactly like I did at her age."
"Thats because I am you," teen Lisa snorted as she looked at her adult self.
"Oh yeah your definitely a teen me," Lisa frowned. "The attitude is a dead give away."
"So your in fashion," teen Kumiko asked her adult self. Kumiko nodded dumbly unable to answer.
Teen Kumiko frowned as she looked jer adult self over. "I don't get it then," she groaned. "Why are we stuck in the suburbs. We should be rich."
"Excuse me," Kumiko exclaimed, glaring at her teenage self.
"Seriously is this our lives," Teen Kumiko whined. "A boring suburban life with a baby and a bald husband with no neck."
Kumiko turned red with anger as she stared at her teenage self. Cole immediately recognized the look, quickly pulling his wife backwards.
"Whoa easy honey," he said. "She's just a kid let it go."
"So what," Kumiko growled. "Shes disrespectful. I can kick my teenage ass, no problem."
"Well bring it on old lady," teen Kumiko taunted. "Your ass is too big for me not to miss."
Lisa and Jason now stepped between the two Kumikos to prevent a brawl from breaking out.
"Kumi chill," Lisa implored.
Kumiko took a deep breath before glaring at the teen version of herself. "Ugh now I know how my parents felt," she groaned. "Shes exactly like I was at that age. No common sense."
"Well," Katie said sheepishly. "That...didnt go quite like I thought."
"Umm adult me," Lisa said quickly. Lisa paused as she looked at the young redhead.
"Listen," teen Lisa sighed. "This...is kind of weirding me out too okay. Especially seeing that your married to my boyfriend."
"Wait there's a teenage me in your world," Jason exclaimed.
Teen Lisa blushed as she looked at Jason. Despite the fact the man was old enough to be her father, she had to admit he was still handsome. Teen Lisa felt her cheeks burn as she shyly tried to avoid his gaze.
"Y.yeah," she stammered. "A..anyway, Katie brought us here to not only meet you two but for you to kind if help us with stuff."
"Mom," Katie said. "I know this is a weird situation but I was hoping you and Kumiko could impart some words of wisdom to these two. It would really help."
Lisa and Kumiko sighed as they looked at the two teens. "This is going ro be the weirdest conversation we've ever had."
