It was rather fortunate that Animalia Airlines could get small groups of people to where they wanted to go quickly. It was often advertised as "First-Class Private Flight on Coach Prices". This was considered great for the Five Elements, because when they got there, they were able to register for the tournament that was part of SAMAS. But that wasn't until later in the two-week showcase after the 4th of July. Until then, they were content to watch the showcase.

As was often the case, Shing and Yan had developed their own brand of martial arts. While Pangolin Style wasn't easy for humans to copy due to the fact that Pangolin Style incorporated their tails as well as their fists and feet, it was something to watch. The reason for this was that it included fast spins that built up kinetic energy IN the tail to impact their enemies and knock them more than two meters.

To prevent accidental harm to humans to a minimum, most of the more "lethal" moves were practiced on sided of beef, pig carcasses, and fabricated ballistic gel torsos. These kind of things were often "diagnosed" by Joshua. It also showed the primary reason, (at least to nerds) why humans developed weapons AND contributed to the extinction of several species, but for most uplifted Animalians, they developed weapons because they only had "a little patch of fur, no fangs or claws, and their skin was more like mush", but once they established themselves at "top predators" they turned their creations against each other.
It was indeed something to watch Animalians demonstrate feral animals weapons "backed up" by human intelligence. There was also a showing of how crazy strong giant apes like gorillas were. Bonobo was showing his strength to the crowd against a heavy bag when his strength punched a hole right through the heavy-canvas-reinforced-with-tape section, then decided to rip it to shreds. There was a lot of geek-style recoiling at the spectacle.
"Dude! You destroyed the heavy bag! C'mon man, what did it ever do to you!?" said a nerd in the aftermath of the destruction.
"I saw a post on the website that was a request for bringing back Gigantopithecus as an Animalian, and I decided to show why that would NOT be a good idea." replied Bonobo, "We gorillas are ten times stronger than humans even though were around the same size, for example. Can you imagine how strong a ten foot tall ape would be if they were still around? Then what would happen if they had at human brain, and to make that worse, give them a machine gun they could actually use?" At that, several Horizon representatives put Gigantopithecus firmly into the 'Nope!' list.

The GGAC were also there to not only show off their own unique skills, but also to talk about the TV show they inspired with the representatives from Japan. One of the things they did decide on was, when they heard Bonobo mention Gigantopithecus, to use a motion capture suit for that.

SAMAS was also a good time to begin learning self-defense martial arts classes, especially for the newly uplifted Animalians. A lot of these new members were herbivore Animalians, but the one who generated the most attention was Bunni Clair. While she was generating the most attention due to being more "moderate" than most Animalians for Owen's sake, that didn't mean that she wanted to learn how to use her new body to defend herself. But because of the interview, there were plans to get a male Flemish Giant Rabbit to see what effect the Animalia Virus' effect would have and get a comparison strand to find out how Bunni got so big (apologies for the pun).
