First things first, he needed to somehow try and hide his new form. He was sure people wouldn't take kindly to an eight foot tall bipedal panther welcoming them to the Hotel Doloma.
Composing himself, he took a few steps forward and peeked out the door. It was around noon; the time between the late morning checkout rush and the afternoon rush of new guests checking in. If he was going to try and find a way to hide this, he had to act quickly.
He ducked out of the bathroom and sprinted as quickly as he could towards the door that lead to the back rooms. Suprised, he was delighted to find out that his speed had increased. He had crossed the room in a matter of second when it would have taken him longer just twenty minutes previously. Unfortunately, he was disturbed by his inexplicable urge to drop to all fours while running. He had resisted it that time, but would he in the future?
Pushing these thoughts to the back of his mind, Darren quickly stepped inside the hotel's vast laundry room. Machines were thrumming loudly but the room seemed mostly deserted. Chalking it up to lunch breaks, he quickly searched for the basket of doorman's uniforms. He found his sharper eyes came in handy when locating it.
Reaching it, he started eagerly digging through the pile for one that fit. To his dismay, many of them shredded under the assualt of his large new paws and their sharp claws. Taking a moment to compose himself, he slowly picked through the pile until he inexplicably found one that looked like it fit.
The pants on the Darren-sized outfit made the normal ones look like toddler clothes. Slipping the large pants on, he saw that a hole had been sewn into the seat to place his tail through, which he did. The shirt and jacket fit him as well. He even found pair of sunglasses, almost cartoonishly large compared to his old ones, that fit him the jacket's pocket. Slipping them on, they inexplicably hung straight on the end of his muzzle despite the fact his ears had shifted to the top of his head. He didn't see any shoes, but he supposed his large new paws where his feet used to be were strong enough to withstand without them.
It wasn't much of an improvement, but at least he looked kinda like a human? At least he had the clothes of one. Maybe if stayed within the dark lobby no one would notice his muzzle, fangs, tail, or any other of his newfound feline attributes.
Something puzzled him, though. It almost seemed like these clothes had been made especially for him...or at least something similar to what he had become. How could anyone had predicted...
He hung his head in his paws. What had he done to deserve this? It wasn't like he had asked to be turned into this panther...thing. He probably would have gone home and tried to figure everything out but 1) the city was obviously too crowded to head home without at least a couple people noticing him and 2) this job was the only thing keeping him from ending up on the street. He needed to keep working despite minor hang ups such as this...he chuckled thickly to himself. Whatever had happened to him was in no way "minor".
Getting back up, he stretched. The clothes pressed tightly against his form, shifting his dark fur uncomfortably but showing off his heavily muscled physique. He felt that stirring down below again, but ignored it as he made his way back upstairs.
