It took a while for Eliza to figure things out but even though she did she couldn’t process it. Her name was now Eliza May and she was nineteen years old. She was also still rich. Forty years of working for the company as CEO had led her to gain a vast amount of wealth. Her bank account still displayed the same number but now under her new name. She still owned an expensive car, she still had a flat in the downtown area, and she was able to buy a new phone without even denting her money. She had no business ID and when she got out of the bank she stood next to her car wondering if she wanted to even head home.
She got there and found all the pictures had changed and that her university credentials were still there. She’d apparently Graduated high school and university still. But now she was just nineteen.
Eliza stared at a wall for about an hour, her new phone not buzzing, nor dinging from countlesss emails. No one bothered her for three hours. She eventually stood up and walked out the door with literal millions at her fingertips and no destination. She walked down the wharf and stared at her own company logo, she milled amidst a crowd and no one asked her for money, and at least three guys flirted with her. It was all so bizarre and she wandered aimlessly until quite randomly she stopped in front of a sushi restaurant and felt her stomach growl. It wasn’t a steakhouse or five star restaurant but for once she didn’t care and pushed her way into the store where the scent of tempora, grease, and rice hit her. She stopped in front of a cashier who smiled at her and asked if she wanted a table. She agreed and followed him into the restaurant. Ice water was put in front of her. The man wandered away and she looked at the menu in front of her before opening it wide and looking at the sushi section.
