Gloria and Felicia were still in shock at the fact Samantha and Mike were now engaged. While the two teens were ready to celebrate they had other plans.
"I appreciate it you two but this is your night," Samantha said warmly. "You just had your first date, that's always special. I don't want to take that moment from you."
Gloria and Felicia sighed before thanking them. While more than happy to celebrate Samanthas engagement they could appreciate their selflessness. The couple always thought of others before themselves. Giving the two a quick hug they wished them well as they vanished from the living room, returning home.
As the two teens entered the kitchen, Gloria could see her parents, Katie, Kumiko and Cole talking. As Gloria looked closely she could see that Lisa and Kumiko seemed excited about something. Quickly though the two adult women composex themselves as they looked at Gloria and Felicia.
"Gloria, Felicia how was your date?"
Gloria smiled as she looked at her stepmom. "It was awesome mom," she exclaimed. "I think me and Felica have boyfriends."
Lisa and Kumiko congratulated the girls, embracing them in a tight hug. "So how was your night mom?"
Lisa, Kumiko and Katie smirked as they looked at eachother. "It...was interesting," Kumiko smiled. "Mostly we talked."
"With ourselves," Lisa said knowingly.
The adults now tried to surpress a laugh as they looked at the confused teens.
After talking for a half hour about the date Lisa, Jason, Kumiko and Cole decided to call it an evening. As they left, taking Felicia with them, Gloria found herself face to face with a very anxious Katie.
"Im glad you had fun," Katie said sincerely. "But I also want to know more about Nate and Adam."
Gloria sighed as she looked at her sister. "Katie they're fine," she groaned. "Nothing bad happen, your magical babysitters saw to that."
"That reminds me where is Sammy," Katie asked. "I can't believe she just left without telling me what she saw. Thats so irresponsible of her."
Gloria furrowed her brow as she angrily glared at her sister. Katie was being paranoid, the alternate realities she was so worried seemd to be a waste of energy in her opinion. Katie didn't seem to trust Gloria judgement. While she may not uave been tgrilled to have Samantha along at first, the girl and her boyfriend jad made the whole experience alot more fun. That Katie would be angry at Samantha now just didn't seem fair.
"You know you need to relax," she growled at Katie. "You obviously don't trust me despite what you say. And I can't believe yiu would be angry at Sammy, she didnt do anything wrong."
Katie gaped at her younger sister, she hadnt expected this. "Gloria I'm doing this for your own good," she said calmly. "I needed Samantha's incite in those two boys. She knew what she was suppised to do."
"The only thing she should if had to do is just have fun in a Friday night with her boyfriend."
Katie paused as she looked at Gloria. Everything she was doing was to keep Gloria safe. "I don't think you understand how dangerous things could be," she stated. "This other reality could really end up hurting you. I want you to be safe. "
"No you want me controlled," Gloria countered. "You talk about keeping me safe, but don't tell me anything. You just make the decision and say thats thats. Im 14, I'm in high school. I can make decisions for myself. Im not some useless idiot that constantly needs your protection."
"Could of fooled me with all the mistakes you've made useing the ring."
Gloria glared at her sister. That was a low blow by Katie. She was only now begining to understand the ring. That Katie would try to flip this around and say she was irresponsible hurt.
"You know I think it's time for you to go," Gloria growled.
"This is my home too," Katie countered.
"No this is my home," Gloria growled. "You live across the street in that house. This house belongs to my parents and me. Not you."
Katie winced as she looked at her little sister. Gloria frowned, seeing Katies discomfort and deciding to continue. "Obviously you dont think much of me," she said. "So from now on I won't bother you with anymore questions. See you at Thanksgiving....maybe."
Before Katie could respond Gloria spun around and made her way upstairs. She realized she had pushed Gloria to far and was now paying for not trusting the young teen. Wiping her eyes she nodded sadly, vanishing from the house. As she did a single tear rolled down Gloria's cheek. For the foreseeable future the sisters would be on their own.
