"Well, I kinda miss the other two already," said Jacob's second head.
"You mean the other heads?" Jacob asked.
"We came into existence together," the head answered. "Do you think you'd be able to come up with a way for the four of us to exist?"
"Let me see," Jacob said as he turned back to his computer. The X-Reality game was still on the screen, and it was still looking through transparent walls of the house towards Jacob's character. It still looked and acted as Jacob did, and now it too had two heads, both necks rising out of the same hole in the shirt. After clicking on his character, Jacob did some searching through the menus that popped up, looking for the right options and adjustments. After a few minutes, Jacob had modified his body into one that at first sight would have been unrecognizable. Jacob and his second head now occupied different holes in the shirt--Jacob had modified his clothes, both the ones he was wearing and the ones in his dresser, closet, and hamper. None had grown longer, but the shirt and pants had grown significantly wider. They now looked as if they could fit four separate people in them at once, and there were now four holes for heads in the shirt. Next, Jacob went to modifying his body. As he made the changes to the character, those same changes happened to him. His body become wide enough to fit the new shirt and pants, and he and his second head now had about nine inches of space between them on their shared shoulders. Finally, Jacob went back into the menu that he had used to get his extra head, and increased his quantity of heads to four. As soon as he did, the itch he had felt when his second head emerged came back, and another head appeared in each of the two remaining shirt holes. There was now one wide body at the desk, with a wide pair of jeans and a wide red shirt. The body had two arms, two legs, and four identical heads. After exchanging greeting, names were given to Jacob's three new heads. From their right-hand side to their left, they were Jacob, Jake, Jim, and Joe.
