Edwin turned around to see his teacher, Ms. Santos, making her way through the crowd of kids that had currently formed to watch Jack, suddenly glad that he had tucked the emitter away. Emitter aside, he was going to have quite a bit of explaining to do, he realized, as she finally made her way to the center, where he himself was standing with the freshly changed Jack.
"Let me ask again," She said, narrowing her eyes at the terrier and young boy standing in front of her. "What in the world is going on here?"
Jack began to whimper and whine, leaning back on his hindlegs, attempting to get Ms. Santos's attention. He gestured towards Edwin, moving his snout towards the one who was responsible for his change. Ms. Santos simply ignored Jack, however and turned her attention to Edwin.
"Did you bring this mutt inside my classroom?" She asked, her voice sour and full of hostility. She looked around at the other children, who were still in awe of what happened to Jack, glancing at the dog and then Edwin's bag. "You do know our rule on pets, don't you, Mr. Dias?"
Despite all his mindset from his older self, Edwin found himself overpowered by his more childish mindset, looking downwards to the floor. What was happening? He'd faced teachers his whole life, why was this different? "Y-yes, Ms. Santos..."
"Did Edwin bring this pet inside?" Ms. Santos said, turning to the rest of the children. She'd been working with children for years, when children such as these had those kind of looks on their faces, they knew something for sure.
However, no one answered her to her frustration. All the children kept their eyes on the terrier, who was strangely wearing Jack's clothes, and Edwin's bag, which had this weird black object poking out of it. Deciding to get back to class, Ms. Santos cleared her throat, picking up Jack.
"Very well, then," She said, reaching for Edwin's bookbag, causing Edwin to inwardly panic. "I shall take the dog and your bookbag, Edwin, and you can simply see the principal in detention!"
