Authors Note: please do not get this deleted, it is not based entirely on the copyrighted works of J.K. Rowling or Warner Bros. but does include elements of it. The castle of MerryBloom is the scene and set place but is not from the books and is made up by me and me alone. The only element taken is the use of magic through wands and some of the same charms and curses used, but most will be made up. No characters linked to the Harry Potter books are used unless absolutely necessary to the plot (but this is unlikely).
Joanne, Darren, Mike, and Anne went to the magical school of MerryBloom. These four kids were in their 5th year of school and had finished their exams, Joanne had decided that they were to meet up with each other in the common room.
Darren and Anne were talking when Mike showed up, “you’re late, but still here before the person who organised it so I guess you’ll have an exception,” said Darren,
“Okay.. anyway, do you guys know why Joanne told us to meet??” Said Mike,
“Nope,” Replied Anne, “We don’t even know where she is,”
Suddenly Joanne burst through the door with a grin on her face holding a large book coloured a worn out brown with dustily silver latches on each corner, keeping it closed.
“Speak of the devil, where the hell have you been??” Said Anne,
“Oh, nothing,” she said with a large grin still on her face, “I was just in the library, and found this behind one of the bookshelves,” Joanne said very exited,
“So how do we open it, stuff like this normally has a non magical unlocking charm on it,” said Mike,
“Alohamora,” with a wave of Joanne’s wand, the books latches opened instantly, “Perfect!!”
“Everything always works out for you doesn’t it,” said Anne sarcastically,
“Okay let me read the title,” Darren grabbed the book off the coffee table and read out loud, “Randell Saiporez’s Book of Transformative Charms and Curses,”
“That’s a pretty weird book, did you even read the title Joanne,” said Mike,
“No, it just looked old and spooky,” said Joanne,
“So you brought us here to look through a book we don’t even know about,” said Anne,
“Listen, we’ve all just gone through the stress of exams, I thought it would be fun now that they’re all over to mess around with this book,”
“Okay, let’s see the first page,” said Darren, as he turned the front cover, “Welcome to the book of transformations, these are the charms (and curses) I’ve acquired over many years of exploring the magical world. In this book you will find everything from turning into a wooden spoon for an hour, to giving yourself a longer nose. No curse (like turning into a kettle) will last over a week. On the final page of this book, you will find a potion that can reverse every and all changes caused by the charms in this book. Note that no charms of curses can be harmful but can affect day to day life, some can last up to 5 minutes and some forever, but all can be reversed by the brew on the last page.”
Joanne grabbed the book off of Darren and said, “Tonight is going to be fun.”
