This is just getting too weird you think. You're in a strange house and there's a strange old woman offering you a plate of different cookies. "Ummm...well, I think I'll pass," you say taking a step backward. But the old woman follows you and presses the plate to your chest.
"Aww...come now, just one? I've been so lonely, I don't get many visitors. Spend some time with this old lady, won't you?" She gives you the most grandmotherly look that you've ever seen.
You can't resist it and take a cookie. You pick the green one. It's a sugar cookie, colored a deep blue with green icing. You smile your thanks to the old woman and quickly eat the cookie. The faster you eat it, the faster you'll be out of there.
Its gone in a matter of bites and the old woman's smile increases with each one. As you finish, she smiles a big toothy grin at you.
You back away, looking for the door when a wave of nausea overwhelms you and you lean heavily on a nearby chair. You shake your head to clear away the dizziness. Your head feels odd. Like it's higher up than normal, and smaller. The old woman just watches with her toothy grin.
What feels like pin pricks brings your attention to your arms. You stare in shock as not only are they flatten, but small nubs like goosebumps cover them. As you watch, your hands meld into your arm. You've still got the joints, but no hands! The nubs on your arms grow larger and soon something emerges. Its a semi-clear white quill. As they grow longer, the quills sprout thin filaments. You realize they're feathers! You're growing wings! What's happening you to?
Your arms aren't the only thing changing. Your back end is feeling very odd. It feels like it's swelling. It fills your pants quickly and painfully. You move to take off your pants as quickly as possible. For the first time you see your legs and they aren't what you remember. They're much thinner and a lot rougher.
You turn your attention back to your bottom. It's definitely bigger, but it's protruding outward...like a bird's back end. As you feel your changing bottom, feathers begin to sprout out. Long feathery ones. You half-turn to see great big feathers, dark green near the bottom and lighter green near the top. But what really captures you're gaze is the manner in which they are growing. They aren't growing with the flow of your body, but straight up. As the feathers reach the height of your head, you see that there's an 'eye' in the middle of the top of the feathers. You realize that you're becoming a peacock!
Your whole body shrinks down, your neck thins and elongates to fit a small head. Feathers emerge all over your body and you place your wings to your side easily.
Before you know it, you've fully transformed into a peacock and look up in terror at the old woman. She shoos you outside and closes the door behind you.
