"I wouldn't have listened? You may not know it mom, but I am a very good listener. When Katie told me she was gay years ago, I supported her and Jason and I have been very happy for her, now that she's engaged." Lisa said.
"My granddaughter is gay and engaged?!" Marilyn asked surprised.
As Gloria watched the two talking now, she didn't notice the ring's powers slowly beginning to take effect now on not just Lisa and Marilyn, but also Martin, Jason, and Ann.
"Yes mom. I didn't tell you yet, because I knew this is how you'd react." Lisa said.
"Did you know about this Martin?" Marilyn asked looking at her husband. Marilyn thought her eyes were playing tricks on her for a second as it looked like he was losing the wrinkles on his face.
"As a matter of fact, I did. Lisa called me a few days after it happened but ask that I not tell you until she told you or Katie did." Martin replied to his wife. Now it was Martin who noticed that his wife didn't have as much grey in her hair as when she woke up that morning, it seemed to be a very bright red color.
As Marilyn continued talking to Lisa, Ann noticed what was going on and saw that it wasn't just her parents that seemed to be getting younger, but also Lisa, Jason, and herself.
"Oh, nice going Glo, I was hoping I would get to be young again for a little bit while I was here." Ann said to her niece who didn't know what she meant until she saw her grandparents, her parents, and Ann herself becoming younger.
"Oh no, I've got to stop this." Gloria said as she almost used the ring until Ann stopped her.
"Hold on Glo, think about it, your ring helped me out with your mom and me, maybe it'll help out with your grandma and your mom." Ann suggested to Gloria who realized that she might have a point as to what she was saying.
"I've hated how you always hold back important things from me, especially....especially....what....what's going on with your....hair?" Marilyn asked looking at Lisa as Lisa herself noticed her hair brightening up again and her clothes began transforming too.
"What? Oh. Well I guess this was going to be inevitable at some point." Lisa sighed before she began to explain Gloria's ring.
"So...mom....dad. Gloria has a magic ring that was passed down by Katie, said ring can make a person older or younger and depending on how she uses it, she can also make the clothes more appropriate for the age you become." Lisa explained.
"Lisa that is just the most....most...." Marilyn still didn't quite believe it until she looked over at Martin and saw he didn't look 64 anymore, but now appeared to be at least 44. He also had gotten back a lot of his muscle that he acquired from doing lots of yard work for many years and looked able to do it again. Martin's blonde hair had also returned to him as he had passed it down to Ann
"Oh my god. Martin, you're....you're young again." Marilyn said astonished.
"Marilyn? My god, you look 20 years younger." Martin said in disbelief looking at his now younger wife. Marilyn herself went over to a mirror to see she now looked 42 again. She saw her bright red hair shining so brightly as it had done years ago and it went down past her shoulders. When she was younger, she actually loved having her hair so long, but when the color began to fade she had kept it short. What was surprising to Gloria was that her grandmother now younger was D cup size and anyone looking at her now would think she was Gloria's mother and not Lisa.
"How can you three be so calm about....this?" Marilyn asked looking at Lisa who now looked to be in her 20s, as did Jason and even Ann. Ann herself was happy that she had her young goth look back.
"Looks like I've got to send a pic to my bestie." Ann winked to Gloria as she went to take a selfie of her young self and send it to Jackie.
"Girls.....I think I better sit down while you explain all this to me and your father . In full detail." Marilyn asked taking a seat next to her young husband as Lisa, Gloria, and Ann all now had to tell them about the ring.
